Max is our son's dog that he can no longer have at college. We have 5 animals a tiny back yard. Our home owners insurance has now told us they are going to cancel our insurance because of Max. He gets along great with our small dogs but does NOT do well with children. We just found out that he has a torn ACL. The specialist told us that we shouldn't run him to much and he would be fine. Again, he does not do well with children. He's a sweetheart with us

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed

Jewels is my mother in laws dog that lives in a very small fenced in area in her front yard. She doesnt get washed, her cage is not cleaned out, and she doesnt get fed regularly. I asked my mother in law if i could try and find someone to adopt her and she agreed but she doesnt take her to the vet so the only thing she knows about jewels is her age. She is 11. Jewels loves people. Despite her age she still wants to play and say hi to everyone she sees. She is in desperate need of a home, my only other option is a shelter that may euthanize if they cant find a home fast enough. I know she has a few more years in her, she just needs a good ... I have been sponsored by American Legion Post 94 since January 7th of 2015. I am sponsored by Post 94 while I am at the shelter waiting for my forever family to come and take me home. I came to the shelter with my two baby puppies B.J. and Velveeta. We are all still here. I am a 8 year old middle aged female. I am spayed and ready for my very own family to love me and me to love them. My birthday is April 5th. I live at the shelter with my roommate Smiley. We spend our days relaxing and playing. I am shy at first ... (Read More)but I love all people that I know. I love to be talked to and petted. I have been at the shelter a long time so I need my new family to be patient with me as I adapt to my new home and family. I would love to share a couch, a floor pillow and maybe a yard to run free in. Please contact or visit the shelter if you are interested in me. Once again, I want to thank American Legion Post 94 for sponsoring me the last three years. Please consider opening up your hearts and home to me. You will be glad you did. I have so much love to give and I yearn to be loved. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Alabama
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
