Rescue Me ID: 17-03-24-00139QuQu (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

QuQu is a 1 year old, 80 pound male puppy who loves to love and snuggle, and play and eat and repeat! This handsome boy will melt your heart every time you look at him. He is good with other dogs but likes to wrestle and play a bit rough so he probably needs another dog his size to play with. His previous owner also indicated that he is good with other dogs and even cats, but I have not seen him with a cat personally, so I can not say for sure. We could introduce him to yours if you have one, so we can make sure he is compatible. He is a pretty mellow boy. He is crate trained. He does not jump all over you, which is a huge plus for a boy his ... (Read More)age. He would likely do great with kids. We are head over heels in love with this one, and I bet you will be too!! if you would like to meet him, please fill out our adoption questionnaire found here http://www.rottenrottie.com/adoption.html (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-24-00132Daisy (female)

Rottweiler    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Daisy is 5 years old, She is potty trained, crate trained, knows Sit, Shake, Stay, Lay down, etc. - very obedient. She walks well on a leash. She is non reactive to other dogs, but has not lived with one for several years. She is protective and children seem to annoy her. She can be leery of strangers and it is best not to put yourself in her personal space when you meet her, but instead give her time to sniff you and give you her approval before affection is given. She has not bitten anyone, but has warned a couple of people who have walked into her house unannounced. She is a great watch dog. Her family is moving out of state at the end of ... Rescue Me ID: 17-03-18-00471Junior (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Junior just turned a year old and has barely had anyone invest the time he needed them to, for training. So his new owner will have a little bit of a challenge. He needs work in all areas of his obedience training, however he is smart and motivated and catches on quickly. He is housebroken and crate trained. If I didn't know better I would say this boy has springs for feet. He catches a lot of air when he plays ball with you! If you have been looking for a young dog who would go through agility training, this boy has champion written all over him! Junior plays well with most dogs. He is a sensitive boy who does not tolerate being over ... (Read More)corrected. He would do best in a home with children over the age of 12 or no kids at all. He is just begging to learn everything you want to teach him! If you have extra time on your hands, this boy has the potential to be the most amazing dog you have ever owned!!! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-17-00489Leo (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Leo is a handsome boy who is a bit nervous at times. He needs a strong confident leader to show him the way. He recently spent the day having the best time with a 10 week old rottie puppy, but he doesn't seem to like dogs his own size. He needs to be socialized with other dogs a lot more. Until that happens he needs to be the only big dog in the house. Leo lives with a cat in his foster home. I can't say that he is awesome with the cat, but I will say that he is learning that the cat is off limits and has become uninteresting to him most of the tie. Hehas not tried to attack the cat, but we do not trust them alone together either. He has his ... (Read More)obedience commands down well, he even gives paw. He is not destructive and once he binds with you, you become his world. He is very handsome boy who will melt your heart when you meet him! Leo has tested positive for heartworms, but thank goodness we caught it at the beginning stages before very many worms developed. His treatment is cheap and easy. He just needs to be tested every six moths until he is cleared. He takes his heartguard each month which will prevent any new worms from being born, and we basically just need to wait it out until the coupleof adult worms that are in there die off naturally. We have had about 7 rotties tested positive in the past year. We routinely test all of our dogs for heartworms. We had one very special dog that we did not catch in time and he died a week after his diagnoses. Since he passed, we have tested all our dogs and the other dogs that tested positive we treated in the same manner as Leo and they all tested negative within 6 months. I have every reason to believe that Leo will too. It should not deter you from giving him a happy home. He will be just fine. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-17-00477Kuala (female)

Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Kuala is a 4 year old, AKC registered purebred rottie with that 'block' or 'bear' head that every ones seems to desire in a rottie. She was given to us from a breeder after she weaned her last litter of puppies. I can see why a breeder would want her. She is drop dead gorgeous and has an amazing personality and temperament that we have seen so far. Kuala will be up for adoption soon. We need to wait a couple of weeks to have her spayed because it's too soon after having her babies, but we are taking applications now and are happy to introduce her to you. She seems to do great with other dogs. She doesn't even get excited when she sees ... (Read More)another dog. She is great with boys but we are not sure how she would do with a female. We have not introduced her to one yet. She seems to be good with kids and friendly and confident with people. Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Gemma is a sweet girl. The problem is, we found her roughly 3 years ago and she is too dominant over our female dog. She never causes problems with the male, it could be that neither are spayed. She is loyal, smart, and a great protector. Our other female has been here longer, while it breaks our heart to have to get rid of her, we have no other options as she is too dominating and it causes fights. She has lived with us and our 2 other dogs, 2 cats, and young grandchildren. I pray someone has a heart to take the beautiful girl.

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-27-00297Cubby (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

We have had to move in temporarily with my elderly mother & brother due to a serious mold issue in our previous home. Our black lab has fear based anxiety and does not do well with stress. He has started attacking one of our other dogs. We will need to stay at my mothers for the next 3 months or so. Our dogs are used to being able to come and go through the dog door & at my mothers they have to stay outside until the evenings when we bring them in with us. He is the only one having such a hard time with the changes and unfortunately because he has bitten before we have decided we can no longer keep him or give him what he really needs to ... (Read More)feel comfortable. He has bitten 3 times, all out of fear and never viciously or breaking the skin. We kept him and have learned to keep him out of situations where hw would want to bite. However because of the drastic changes to our normal routine he is struggling. We have had to muzzle him to keep him from attacking our other dog. The fights between them have been relatively minor except for one instance. Also my brother (who cares for my mom) has asked me to re-home, as he is uncomfortable with having him there. Because our other dog has never bitten anyone we felt we would need to re-home the black lab who has started the conflict. As well as being unable to make immediate changes to accommodate him. He was raised with our 9 year old (who he has never bitten or growled at) as well as our cat and one of his liter mates. He will usually growl at other dogs until they meet, then he is usually happy to play. We never had any issues until we adopted another puppy a year and a half ago. He attacked the puppy the first night we had him (he was 8wks old) he would occasionally nip him. We started to muzzle him and he seemed to make the correlation between biting and wearing the muzzle and it stopped. Also as our puppy grew in size he seemed less interested in wanting to bite him anymore. He doesn't like loud noises and does not do well under stress. He is a good listener, a quick learner and generally an obedient dog. He may even do really well with another dog in the right situation with the right dog. He trained in basic commands. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-17-00383Abby (female)

Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Abby is a sweet loving girl when she gets to know you. She is also a rottweiler and fierce protector when she needs to be. She is an inside dog who is crate trained and potty trained. If you leave the butter on your counter too close to the edge, believe that she will take it. She loves to be close to you and snuggle. She was raised around children, however she lost her home, because her and her sister got in a fight, and their boyfriend jumped into the fight too, and somewhere in the middle was a child in the way, who ended up getting bit on the head. Anial control came and took all three dogs to the shelter and they were quarantined for 10 ... (Read More)days. Their family did not want the dogs back for fear that if it happened again they didnt want the child to get hurt even worse then she was already. The shelter was going to euthanize them all, but decided to contact us first to see if we would take them and we did obviously. Both sister were pregnant by the male, but neither sister had viable puppies. They both miscarried. Now Abby is spayed and looking for a forever home. Although, she can be fine around some dogs, she can also be nasty with them too. It is probably best if Abby is an only dog, or with one submissive male. Abby had small dogs in her original home that she was fine with, we were told. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-17-00205Mila (female)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We decided to let Mila's current owner write her bio since she knows her best. This is what she wrote. Mila is a 6 yrs old female rottweiler mix with a fuzzy muzzle and a black spot on her tongue! She sleeps and plays with a big floppy teddy bear and is always smiling! Shes a great protector and love bug. She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots! She loves to lick or chew on ice and will eat just about anything you give her! She loves chew bones but doesn't destroy toys unless there's a squeaker inside. She loves belly rubs and cuddling! She'll sleep with you or on a bed on the floor whichever you say. She's very smart and knows a ... (Read More)couple tricks. She is not food aggressive, we check often and I will give her a treat from my lips and she's ever so careful and gentle! She is incredibly loyal so it may take a few visits with our encouragement to warm up to you. Sometimes she is a little scared of some men but does warm up to then in time. She's great with kids and other dogs too. She was good around a cat but it's been a long time since then. She's been boarded for 5 days and was great for them. She doesn't bark unless there is a reason like she sees a dog or person out the window. She is potty trained. She uses the dog door and doesn't try to go over the baby gates. She loves the lake and I believe she would be great camping if you want to take her. With that said we unfortunately need to find her a home that can give her what she deserves! At the moment our female pit starts fights with her if they get face to face. then the pitbull will attack her. Mila is separated from the pitbull by living downstairs in a almost empty living room by herself the majority of the time. When she does come up we put our dogs away and she doesn't leave my side. At the moment I'm in tears cause im going to miss her so much and she's licking the tears off my face! It breaks my heart but she will be an amazing addition and blessing to the right home! Shes been great with all the kids I've seen her around! She doesn't mind being pet anywhere, ears, muzzle, feet (not a big fan of nail clipping though) you can pet a rub just about anywhere and she's ticklish! please fill out our adoption questionnaire located under the forms tab on www.rottenrottie.com if you would like to meet Mila.     My name is Darla. I am a sweet, loving energetic 1 year old rottie mix. I love to take walks to the park but need a little extra love while out in public. Unfortunately I didn't get to go on adventures like a dog should, so I am a little unsure of the big world when I do go for walks. I love to get my belly rubbed because I have this special spot on my belly that makes me all squirmy and happy. I also enjoy cuddling, playing with kids and eating peanut butter treats. Rescue Me ID: 17-01-07-00010Bonnie (female)

Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bonnie is an easy going girl who is about 5 years old, good with the other dogs that she has met and lived with, Good with kids. She is a protector and loved her human children in her last home. In fact she was going to be a service dog for an autistic child that she lived with and loved. That was the plan anyway. Then one day someone entered their home, and Bonnie was confused and didn't think the person should be in the home, and Bonnie told the person to leave and when then didn't, Bonnie bit them on the arm. The arm was badly bruised, but other then that not bad. Bonnie's owner said that she did want to have to deal with issues like that ... (Read More)and gave her back to us. Funny, because she had asked for a protective dog when she first came to us. Had this person really been an intruder, Bonnie would have been a hero. We have taken a couple of weeks to observe her around people who come to our house to visit, and she has growled at a couple of people, but we were able to convey to her, that they were friends and it was alright for them to be in the house. I think the stronger she bonds will someone, she could potentially become a little over protective. Her new owner will need to socialize her as often as possible and teach her that it isn't her job to protect the family. Unless of course, you want her to have that job, then you should send her to protection training so that she can make better decisions on who she is suppose to protect you from. She walks well on a leash, she knows her basic commands, sit, stay, down, come, drop it, etc. She doesn't plow through doorways or jump on people when she gets excited. She is crate trained and potty trained and generally a well behaved dog. Have not seen her around cats, but there is a good possibility that she may do fine with them. Fill out a questionnaire under the forms tab on www.rottenrottie.com and return it if you would like to meet Bonnie. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-07-00007Idaho (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Idaho could be an amazing companion for the right person. He is very agile. A sport dog. He plays ball and he plays frisbee! He is always ready to go for a walk and if you don't want to take him he also knows how to walk on a treadmill! He jumps on and will walk at a full incline for about 20 minutes. I will even give you his treadmill if you are the lucky one to adopt him. Idaho has been professionally trained and professionally remote collar trained and his trainer has even offered to give you lesson on how to continue with his training. His training alone cost $1700 that you will get the benefits of for free! He is also a very handsome ... (Read More)boy that has that big block head that everybody wants so badly for their rottie to have. The kind of head that usually cost people thousands of dollars to find at a good breeder. Drop dead gorgeous !! He loves attention and he loves hanging out with his people and you won't find a better watch dog and natural protector. Trust me when I say that nobody will be stupid enough to break an entry with Idaho on the property! Those are the pros and unfortunately there are some cons too. The cons are that he doesn't play well with other dogs. Even if he is introduced to another dog properly and generally likes the dog he plays too rough to allow them to interact. Some dogs he hates. He has attacked a few dogs, which is not cool, so his owner can not have any other animals and they can not want any other dogs in their life in the future. Idaho also does not like children. So you can never have a child in the future as long as he is alive and you certainly can not have any kids in your life already. However he is completely crate trained, so if once a year you have company visit that have kids, you can either crate him or give him back to us to board him. I wouldn't trust him with teenaged Evers. Because he is so protective, it's best for him to go to a home that is not active. Someone who has very little company that comes over . If you think you might be a good match for Idaho please contact me. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-17-00466Gummy Bear (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bear is about 4 years old Male Neutered Rottweiler that doesn't understand there IS enough love to go around! This guy is a people-pleaser and wants nothing more than to have someone to hang out with all day! He is up for anything! From going on walks to laying around the house, as long as there's someone there to love him! Bear has shown some dog aggression in the past so a one dog home is the best for him. He is a very happy-go-lucky dog with a lot of energy so regular walks and a structured schedule will keep him in a better mindset. He came to Rotten Rotties very underweight and is gaining by the day! A good guesstimate of a healthy ... (Read More)weight for this guy is around 100-110 lbs. He is very friendly to new people as long as he's introduced properly but still 'bears' that protective instinct that we love about this breed. Bear comes professionally trained through Lorenzo's Dog Training Team and comes with free handling sessions to help make his transition into his new home easier for everyone involved. He walks nicely on the leash, knows the moving heel and stationary heel positions, sits/lays down and stays all on one command. Bear also sits patiently at the door when it's opened and knows the 'spot' command. He hasn't displayed any destructive behaviors and is fully house trained! If you are interested in meeting Bear please go to http://www.rottenrottie.com/adoption.html and fill out the adoption questionnaire under the forms tab and return it to us. We will contact you once we have had a chance to look it over and let you know which dogs may be a good fit for you and your lifestyle. We look forward to working with you. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-01-00017Skye (female)

Rottweiler    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Skye (AKA Big Mama) is a spayed, happy, sweet, butt wiggling big girl. I believe she may be around 6 years old. She's content to just lay around with her favorite toy, a ChuckIt! ball that she always has with her. She loves belly rubs and walks. (She could use more walks, to drop some pounds) If she wants your attention she has been known to take your arm in her mouth, very gently, and move it to her. She loves water. She will play in a kiddie pool as well as her water bowl. She was adopted from the Apache Junction Paws & Claws Care center in 2013. She was found as a stray weighing only 54lbs! She has definitely made up for the lack of ... (Read More)weight. She has been living with 6 other dogs, 2 females & 4 males, ranging from 15lbs to 40lbs, and a house with 3 women. She is the dominate dog of the house and will defend that title. Out of the other dogs, she has had no issues with any expect one, one other dominate female. She is a much smaller dog and has suffered serious repercussions of challenging her. This is no way makes Skye a violent dog. I believe she would do best in a house with either a male or non dominate dog. She would have no problem being an only dog either. She has never chewed or destroyed anything other than stuffed animals. She has no problem being home alone and is doggie door trained. She does have a crate, but has never been crated for an extended period of time. She is protective of her family. I have found it's best to keep her away from the door and held until she meets guests. She has given two men warning nips when they walked into the home unannounced. Once she is allowed to sniff and give her approval they'll be her new friend. She has no exposure with children under 13 or cats while I have had her. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Arizona
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
