Name: Charlie Breed: Rottweiler/Sheppard Mix Age: 9 yrs Weight: 88 lbs My name is Charlie and I am one mellow dude. In fact, some have been known to call me The Dude, his Dudeness, Duder, or El Duderino%BD'%BD|or maybe that's just what I call myself, but you get the idea. I like to hang out and CHILL. Back in my younger days (I'm around 6 now), I probably enjoyed running around and playing games and stuff, but these days I like more mellow activities and going with the flow. You want to go for a walk? That's cool. I like walks. You want to go for a drive? That's cool too, I like looking out the window. You want to hang out with ... (Read More)people, kids, or other dogs? That's fine with me. Everybody is a friend of the Dude. Sometimes I'll use my old man%BD'%BD|er, old dog, bark to tell the younger pups they need to chill out, but I never get too upset with them. I remember when I was a young pup causing a ruckus in the dog park! I've never been too into labels, but some have said I'm a Rottweiler mix due to my size (88 lbs, but the doc says I could stand to lose 10 lbs) and my handsome coloring. One thing is certain, I am a HANDSOME dude. Aside from hanging out, I'm also really good at sleeping and being alone in the house while people are away (which I guess is the same things as hanging out), watering the plants (that's a nice way of saying I'm potty trained) and chasing squirrels. I know a few fancy tricks like 'sit', how to come when I'm called and also walking like a champ while I'm on a leash (unless I see a squirrel or rabbit). So I'd love to meet you because I know we'd be buds and then we could hang-out and chill together, maybe for forever? Cool. If you want to hang out and be buds, just send the great people at Paws & Co. an email at pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or visit their website. Let's chill. (Less)

I have been 'fostering' an unbelievably wonderful dog for a week now. He was with the same owner from puppy until today. He is very well behaved alone in the house. Perfect! I would love to keep him, but unfortunately, he is more dog then my life allows. He is great off leash, and loves water. Please email with questions and family situation. He era all deserves a great new owner who will appreciate him for what he is.

Lucus: 2 year old Rotty mix. Lucus is a super loving, happy, playful and sweet boy. He's got a charming, puppy-like personality and is a shelter volunteer favorite. While small for a Rotty mix, he's sturdy, muscular and athletic. One of his favorite things is playing fetch with the ball! Lucus would love a home with daily walks, runs or hikes and would be a great family dog. He's a people person and loves getting attention and belly rubs. Lucus would be a great only dog, or could possibly be paired with another mellow or non-dominant dog, most likely a smaller dog, or a very young puppy who he can grow up with. Lucus has been patiently ... (Read More)awaiting his forever home for a long time now and says that he's ready! He's available through Every Creature Counts, a no-kill shelter in Ft. Lupton. PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Colorado
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
