Santo is an extremely good looking Lab/Rottie mix. He's seven years old and has lived with a family for the last five years. The family is no longer able to keep Santo due to changes in the family dynamics. He's a smart boy, well behaved, and knows basic commands such as 'Sit' and 'Shake'. He gets along well with children, does not do well with cats and is OK with other dogs given the proper introduction. Santo is a high energy dog. He loves to run, hike, and swim and would fit in nicely with an active family. He is up to date on vaccinations and will soon be getting a dental.

We've been fostering Forest for about a year now and are now moving somewhere that does not allow dogs. Forest is great with people, including children and babies. We have a 9 month old he's been around since birth and has never so much as growled at him. He does struggle with year round allergies. He is a super relaxed dog and doesn't require much entertaining throughout the day but enjoys an evening walk. He gets along well with dogs around his size, when introduced properly. He doesn't get along well with small dogs. Forest has been a great dog and we really want to ensure that he goes to a loving forever home

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Adult Men Only
Personality: High Energy
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

He is a good dog, I don't have time for him like I used to, and I am moving soon were I won't be able to take him...he has a temper sometimes when I do not spend enough time with him that's what I mean when I said aggressive above in the box, and he could use a little more discipline, I am willing to get him neutered if needed and I am willing to have him trained before I give him up.I love him very much, but I think he deserves better, I have had him since he was three weeks old.

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Abused/Neglected, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Bella is a 1.5 year old sweetie that needs a lot of patience and understanding. She knows many commands but sometimes chooses not to abide by them. She can be left alone without destroying the house. She walks well on leash and is good in the bath, as long as she has a toy with her. She is great with other dogs and has been around children but due to their small stature she will take any and all snacks from them which could lead to biting so a childless home or older child home is preferred. She requires lots of daily activity so an apartment is not advisable. She can be aggressive when food is involved and doesn't like being yelled at, ... (Read More)probably from past abuse experience. She has had a litter or two of puppies and becomes extremely aggressive when kenneled. With the right owner she will make a great companion!! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Colorado
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
