|Rescue Me ID: 17-08-01-00178Cleo (female)|
Meet Cleo. This pretty girl is a 4-year-old Rottweiler. She is so super adorable although a little pudgy weighing in at about 90 pounds. She is such a sweet, friendly girl and deserves a wonderful forever home. Cleo has been raised around other dogs and has even enjoyed being part of play groups. However, most recently she has mostly spent time with one special dog buddy. Cleo does not do well with cats. Cleo is great with children but would do best around older children. She is gentle, but she could be possessive around food or toys. Small kids may not understand that they need to go slow. Cleo walks very well on leash, has great house manners and knows some commands. She loves having constant companionship that includes walks and and cuddles. She loves to swim, play in snow, fetch, and is not afraid of fireworks. Cleo is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is also solidly housebroken. If you are interested in adopting Cleo, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $175. (Less)

|Animal ID: #456Happy Jack (male)|
Happy Jack has been returned to the rescue and is back up for adoption. He is the same sweet boy. Happy Jack came to us on 1/6/2016 from IACC as he was in urgent need of rescue due to banging his head on his cage and was tearing his face up. IACC believed it to be due to separation anxiety, but since arriving last night, he really has been a sweet boy. He is great with kids, good with other dogs, good with cats, and doesn't even care about the horses.. He did well in his cage overnight, no messes, didn't try to bust out.. I was actually very impressed this morning when i went out to take care of everyone. Happy Jack was just sitting there awaiting for us to come clean and feed.. He doesn't know many tricks, but believe that he could learn to sit and stay easily! He will shake hands with you at times.. Happy Jack is current in all his vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick preventative, neutered, and micro chipped.. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
