Rajah is a great dog. I am very sad to have to give him away. I am opening a business in my home and I am unable to keep him. He has been with our family since he was 6 weeks old. We love him and want him to go to a good home.

I have had Xena since she was 9 weeks old. She is full blooded German Rottweiler, but is not papered. She is very people friendly and loves kids. I am going through a divorce and had to move back he and she does not get along with my parents other 2 dogs. I don't want to get rid of her, but I cannot keep her. She needs to go to a home where she is the only pet. Feel free to text me for pictures. She does need her Rabies booster.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-07-31-00501Rottie (male)|
My name is Rottie. I am seeking that special forever home with a very special guardian who wants to give just that kind of home to a deserving animal. I am about 6-7 years old, a medium-sized Black Labrador and Rottweiler mix neutered male with current vaccinations and a negative heartworm test. My medium length coat is a glistening black except on my legs which lighten to a brown with some speckling. I do have a little arthritis but it doesn't bother me too much most days at the moment. I am a shy and quiet dog that lacks some much needed self confidence. Therefore, I retreat to the back of my kennel when strangers approach and I do not engage with these same people when out on a leash. There may have been past abuse issues or poor socialization with humans but this is only speculation. But, I have gotten accustomed to the shelter staff and do pretty well with them. I have been at this shelter for a very long time. The staff do the best they can but there are so many other dogs and limited space and I have become just one of the many. I really do need a home to call my own. An adult family only would be best and someone with dog experience and a lot of patience. I need time, space, understanding, some positive reinforcement work, and lots of love. Contact the shelter to ask any questions you might have about me or to make arrangements to come for a visit. |Rescue Me ID: 15-07-17-00661Diesel (male)|
Diesel is an awesome doggie who desperately needs a better home. His current owners do not have the time right now to give him the love, time, and attention he needs. His owner is currently battling throat cancer & is in & out of hospital all the time. His wife works a lot & is focused on helping her husband fight this terrible disease. In the meantime, Diesel spends a lot of time in the backyard or in a crate in their basement. He recently got loose from the gate & I found him running towards to 4-lane highway I called for him & he immediately ran to me...smiling & ready to play. After I found his owners in my neighborhood & heard their story & how they have been trying to find Diesel a better home, I told them I would do whatever I could to help. I visit & walk him everyday now & talk often his his owners. It's so hard because when I leave him he cries & howls for the longest because he doesn't want me to leave. This sweet, smart boy gets lonely & needs a family that can give him the care, love, & attention this precious baby needs. When I stopped by to walk Diesel today, I learned that his owner is back in the hospital, leaving Diesel by himself in the crate in basement once again. Absolutely breaks my heart! I would take him if I could. But I already have a yorkie who has seizures & cannot tolerate other dogs at all. This site helped me find a great home for a stray I rescued last year & hope it does the same for sweet Diesel. (Less)

I have a beautiful female Rottweiler/Husky mix. She has the build of a husky and one blue eye, and the coloration of a rottweiler. She is house trained (unless left alone for 12 hours solid) Wonderful with kids; I have a 10 month old baby and he pulls on her and cuddles her and she loves the attention. We live with 2 kittens and shes never violent toward them, but she does chase them around the house occasionally. Trained to lay, sit, stay, and not to eat off plates unless instructed to. She is an indoor dog, and only goes out to potty and during my work hours. She is seriously the most amazing dog I could've ever come to know, but my husband doesn't like her because she is loyal to me to the point where she whines the whole time I'm at work and shes so picky about food we have to buy expensive stuff. Please, only take her if you're going to be a good home that'll love her as much as I do. Don't bother if you aren't going to give her a good family. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-06-29-00041Marley (female)|
My name is Marley and I am a sweet, gentle, and nervous dog. For the most part I am great with dogs, cats, and children who will love and treat me nicely. I have had a difficult start in life as I was abused and have the physical scars(cigarette burns) to show for. I then was adopted and into a great home. Sadly mom can't keep me. Once again, I find myself looking for my forever home. Maybe this time it will be forever. Please give me a home I can finally call my own!!!

|Rescue Me ID: 15-01-16-00201Spencer (male)|
Talk about a dog who fits the description of tall, dark and handsome! That's Spencer! He is also intelligent & dashing, the strong, silent type. And if that's not enough to entice you to come meet him, you should know that he is definitely a lover and gives the best hugs. One of his favorite things is when someone sits with him, pets him, gives him doggy massage and talks sweetly to him about what a good, handsome boy he is. At those times, he lays his heavy head on their lap, closes his eyes and seems to be in heaven. He also has a sharp mind and learns quickly, and is completely potty trained. Somewhere in Spencer's life before he came to us, he had some very frightening experiences, and as a result, he is very sensitive to noises that he doesn't recognize. He tends to be afraid in unfamiliar surroundings until he can be assured that he is in a safe environment with people who love him and will keep him from harm. Once he's given a little time to feel comfortable, he can relax and be his wonderful self. Spencer's wish list consists of finding a home with someone who will give him a lap to lay on, a heart equally as big as his, lots of exercise, room to explore and things to learn. In such a home, this deep dark-eyed and dashing guy will show you what the words loyal and faithful mean. Don't miss the opportunity to come meet Spencer and help fulfill his forever home wish list! |PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Indiana|
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
