Rescue Me ID: 14-03-02-00025Brutus (male)
Here is Brutus, neighbor dog that is unwanted now ... he's a little scared at first with new people, but he needs a new home with lots of loving, proabaly better with a female adult, ...kids & men have been mean to him in past, so it would take awhile for him to warm up to them ... he does very good outside as that is what he is very used to and has lived outside all his life ... kinda been rough ... I have given him treats, some good grub, and some baby talking, pet him, and greeted him with as much love as possible over the years .... new people have moved in and he is no longer welcome there ... we need to find him a loving home ... he is about 7 years old, appears to be healthy and fit. Please if any one is interested ... let's get him a home and save him from being put down! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-01-20-00052Bixby (male)
Bixby: 2 year old lab/rottie mix; 85 lbs potty-trained good with people & kids; some dogs 'Two year old Bixby is a huge favorite of ours! He's a big, happy-go-lucky boy who loves people and making new friends. He is an irrepressible optimist who is always smiling - a good will ambassador who's cheerful outlook and outgoing disposition make it impossible not to give him the affection he craves. Bixby's hobbies include (but are not limited to) playing with balls, going on long walks, picnics (he loves good food!) and going on car rides. He's had basic obedience training and loves to show off how he can 'sit', 'down' and 'shake'. He's potty trained and well-behaved in the home. Although Bixby is fine with most other dogs, he would prefer to be an only dog when placed in his forever home because he likes to be the center of attention. His adoption fee is $150; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations.' (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Indiana
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
