|Animal ID: SSRR16-0128-008Tank (male)|
Tank is a young Rottweiler mix who is definitely a goofy guy. Like any typical youngster he loves to play and is still a bit on the clumsy side (he rolls off the couch on accident at least two times a day). He isn't afraid to get a little dirty and is always ready to brush himself off and get back in the game. He absolutely loves going outside in the yard and running back and forth with the husky on the other side of the fence. And boy does he have some stamina! Another thing he loves is going on walks/hikes. He's a confident guy and will go anywhere you point him, even under a waterfall, though that one took a little convincing. He loves meeting other dogs and people (including kids!) on our walks and is very non-reactive when we see things like strollers and bikes. He is submissive with other dogs and has shown absolutely no aggression (just play barking) to people or other animals. Not only is he an adventurer, he is also a cuddle bug. He is pretty insistent that he must be on your lap, and thankfully he is only about 50 lbs so he can manage to be a lap dog and not crush you. You can pretty much guarantee he is going to be right by your side anywhere you go in the house, and will wait with baited breath for you to come out of the bathroom. His smiley face and goofy antics are guaranteed to brighten your day. Tank was a stray so he had to adjust to living in a house with rules but has acclimated surprisingly fast. He is potty trained and crate trained and is doing well with learning commands. He is very smart and willing to please (especially if there is food involved). He does have some puppy ADD but with time and patience that can easily be overcome. Tank would love to find a forever family that likes to have a good time and will take him on adventures and then cuddle with him after (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
