Animal ID: SSRR18-0329-026Buck (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

Buck is an extremely handsome boy. He's got a beautiful, thick, luxurious, shiny coat. Pictures do not do him justice. He's a very calm, gentle boy and is very laid back. He is fine with cats, and loves everyone. He loves to give kisses to everyone he meets and has a GREAT smile. Buck walks nicely on a leash and is learning basic obedience. He's very eager to please. He would do best in a home with no small children because he doesn't know how big he is and will end up knocking them over. He can be a bit possessive of his toys, but other than that, he's very sweet. He's a big, squishy lover boy! Buck is currently going through heartworm ... (Read More)treatment and will not be adopted until that treatment has been completed. However, we are currently taking applications for Buck. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-05-27-00219Hebert (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hebert is a male Rottweiler/Golden Retriever who was born about 1/2010. He is up to date on shots and neutered; he is a big boy at about 70lbs. Hebert's owner is no longer to keep him so he is now looking for a new home that knows what forever really means. Hebert does great with other dogs and would probably do great with kids as he's a gentle soul. We have never seen him with cats so don't know how he'd do with them. Can you show Hebert that people do know the meaning of furever?

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Louisiana
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Louisiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
