Personality: Average Energy, Submissive

Shiloh was found taking refuge on someone's farm in rural Texas. She was severely malnourished, dehydrated, covered in fleas and too weak to walk. SSRR was contacted and Shiloh was placed in a foster home where she has been learning what it means to be loved, cared for and pampered. Shiloh currently lives with several dogs, of various sizes, and gets along with all of them. She is house-trained, crate-trained and knows how to use a doggie door. Shiloh stays off of the furniture, can be left unattended in the home with no issues and does not touch anything that does not belong to her. She is the perfect house-guest!! Shiloh is a calm ... Shiloh is playful and enjoys her tennis balls and stuffed toys but will take a break to lay her head in your lap to be petted. Shiloh is a very good watch dog and will alert you if she hears something. She has now gained much needed weight and is a healthy 78lbs and, although a large dog, she is easy to handle and a joy to be with. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Joy is a female Rottwiler born around 6/2012. She is spayed, up to date on shots and did test low heartworm positive. The vet said since she tested so low of a positive she can just be kept on heartworm prevention and the worms will die off. Joy had a hard life up to now. Her so called 'owner'; who was suppose to make sure at least her basic needs were met let her starve, she was skin and bones when rescued. Her owner couldn't even bother to get her an appropriate collar they saw fit to clip a heavy chain to her neck and pass by her daily starving and lugging around a heavy chain and do nothing about it. Joy holds no hard feelings to ... (Read More)humans and is a joy to be around. She loves people. She needs a home with no cats. She does great with medium and large dogs as she just wants to play with everyone and everything. Can you be Joy's new family and let her show you what a 'joy'; she can be in your life. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Louisiana
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Louisiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
