|Rescue Me ID: 17-03-14-00087Ace (male)|
http://www.animal-advocates.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=10977784 Ace is now in a Foster Home in our Rescue Program, thanks to his foster dad, who also volunteers at the shelter. And who recognized Ace's awesomeness and realized that he needed more time and attention than he was able to get in a shelter setting. Please use the contact information at the end of this description to inquire. Ace appears to be a Rottweiler or mix. He is about 1-2 years old and is a friendly, lovable big puppy. He loves to give kisses and licks. He has marvelous brown eyes that just look at you and say 'I love you'. He is very attentive and doing very well with his training. He knows sit, down and how to heel. He is well-behaved in the house for his age. He is very devoted to whomever gives him attention. He has a tendency to want to put things in his mouth (leashes, your arms) but he releases when asked. He loves to lean his 95 pounds right onto you. Due to his size and activity level, we're looking for a home with adults or children over 12. He plays very well with his dog foster brother, and was said to do well with both dogs and a cat in his previous home. Because of his size and play style, if he lives with another dog it should be one who also loves to play hard. He is a tall dog and needs a tall secure fenced yard of at least 5 feet. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-06-00177Rocco (male)|
Rocco wants a home! This is Rocco. He is a great pup and really wants a forever home. Rocco is 9 months old. He is fully vetted, housebroken, and crate trained. He needs someone at home during the day. He is high energy and as with all dogs at this age he needs guidance and exercise. Rocco hasn't had a lot of exposure to other dogs but has no aggression issues. Rocco needs basic obedience training so that he can learn all the essentials for a happy dog/owner relationship. Rocco will make someone a perfect pet but a few things are required to make it all work. He cannot be left alone all day. He is a puppy! He needs a fenced in yard but a split rail and wire fence will NOT work with Rocco. He knows how to escape from those. He is very smart! The yard must have gates that can be locked. If you have the time and patience for Rocco and the environment for him he will not let you down. Experience raising a Rottie puppy is necessary. Many dogs lose their homes when they become a handful and owners don't realize training = happy forever home! Adoption application on website. Rocco is available for adoption in in MD and northern VA ONLY. FENCED YARD REQUIRED. Rocco has not been around other dogs. His reaction is not aggression. He has no idea what to do. If you are interested in Rocco, please fill at our online adoption application here: http://md-novarotties.org (Less)

Slappy is an older dog. He is still high energy, though. He was dropped off at my elderly mother's home by another family member, and he is in need of a forever home. My mother will be having knee surgery soon, and she can not take care of him.

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
