am very friendly, love to cuddle with my foster parents and very happy when I get to meet new people. In my foster home, I am house broken and tolerate the crate well. There is nothing I love more than hanging out with my human friends on the sofa! I am truly 'man's best friend'. I am a beautiful 6 year old, 55 lb. gal who folks say look to be a Rottweiler/Shepherd Mix. I arrived on 10/27 and I am ready to find my forever home. I'm spayed and up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Think I might be the gal for you? Apply today!

|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-06-00177Rocco (male)|
Rocco wants a home! He is a great pup and really wants a forever home. Rocco is 12 months old, fully vetted, housebroken, and cratetrained.ROCCO had never been to a vet when we first got him. He was so scared when we took him that now HE DOES ACT OUT AT THE VET! He used to guard food and toys but we have worked with him and the food guarding seems to be over with. He used to guard his toys and if he REALLY likes one in particular he may still do it. He is NOT the dog for a home with small children. He needs someone at home during the day. He is high energy and as with all dogs at this age he needs guidance and exercise. Rocco has had a lot of exposure to other dogs since we first got him and has no aggression issues. Rocco needs basic obedience training so that he can learn all the essentials for a happy dog/owner relationship. Rocco will make someone a perfect pet but a few things are required to make it all work. He cannot be left alone all day. He is a puppy! He needs a fenced in yard but a split rail and wire fence will NOT work with Rocco. He knows how to escape from those. He is very smart! The yard must have gates that can be locked. If you have the time and patience for Rocco and the environment for him he will not let you down. Experience raising a Rottie puppy is necessary. Many dogs lose their homes when they become a handful and owners don't realize training = happy forever home! Adoption application on website. Rocco is available for adoption in in MD and northern VA ONLY. FENCED YARD REQUIRED. If you are interested in Rocco, please fill at our online adoption application here: http://md-novarotties.org (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
