Rescue Me ID: 15-01-11-00202Chelsea (female)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Needs to be Spayed

I rescued Chelsea from being taken to the pound. I have fostered her for a couple weeks but can not keep her permanently. She is a fun, friendly dog, but, has a couple issues. She is not good with other dogs and is food aggressive toward them. No problems with people around her food however. She is very, very gentle when taking food from your hand. I was told from the people I took the dog from that she is not good around children. Therefore I would like her to go to a home with no children or other dogs. I am told she is OK around cats but I don't have any so I can't confirm. She is supposed to be UTD on shots but they could not find any ... (Read More)paperwork or a rabies tag so I would recommend getting them, just in case. She is NOT fixed and has had a litter in May. She is not leash trained and doesn't know any basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, no, etc.... But she is as sweet as can be and loves attention. I just don't want to see this beautiful girl going to the pound and getting euthanized just because of her breed. With her food aggression issue I believe she would be hard to adopt out even if she went to a no kill shelter. So I have come here for help. Please someone give this sweet baby a good home. (Less)

If you are looking for a playful and loving young lady, I'm your girl!! My name is Hope and I am a 1.5 old Rotterman (Doberman-Rottweiler mix). I have had a rough start in my short life but I haven't let it faze me not one bit. I love to run and jump and play in the snow with other dogs. My only request is I get to live with someone that likes to be active, if I get bored I might get into mischief and I really want to be a good girl so it's best that I get my exercise. On January 16th I entered the RPSM Correctional Companion Program for 10 weeks where I will be learning all my basic commands and maybe some cute tricks. I can't wait to ... (Read More)meet my new family once I am paroled. Please fill out your adoption application today to make me a part of your family today. I'm spayed and UTD on all my vaccines, HW, and FT. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-14-00766Titus (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We adopted Titus under false pretenses about his personality around other dogs and children. This boy is a little feisty, but he's very sweet. Unfortunately when he gets too excited he starts mouthing really roughly. I would love to keep him, but he doesn't get along with my dog nor do I feel safe to let him out of the kitchen when my nieces and nephew are over. I would really love to see him go into a home that might be more accommodating to his personality and his rather large stature. Thank you.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Michigan
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
