We adopted Titus under false pretenses about his personality around other dogs and children. This boy is a little feisty, but he's very sweet. Unfortunately when he gets too excited he starts mouthing really roughly. I would love to keep him, but he doesn't get along with my dog nor do I feel safe to let him out of the kitchen when my nieces and nephew are over. I would really love to see him go into a home that might be more accommodating to his personality and his rather large stature. Thank you.

Bear is a stray that came to us 5 years ago. We will have a new baby in the house soon and we need to rehome him. Bear has issues with entry by anyone into the house or yard.We have to put him outside, allow company in the house then let him re enter. He has not been to the vet since last year as our vet will not see him unless he is tranquilized and muzzled. We let him out long enough for potty break and he comes right back in. I am his person (I am female). He is an outstanding watchdog and I feel a lot safer with him here. Once he is rehomed I will be back to using my ghome security system all the time, which I have not done for years. He ... (Read More)is a very sweet and loyal boy and I hate to give him up but my grandchild will be living here soon and there is an allergy issue. He has been evaluated by two personal dog trainers and both concluded he was not socialized and quite possibly abused before we took him in. He loves to give kisses to his people and he thinks he is a lapdog. He is 155 lbs. I will not rehome without a fee or proof of donation to the Humane Society or similar organization. I will assist on getting him up to date on rabies which he is due for but thought it unnecessary given the trauma he seems to go through when going to the vet. We do have another dog but Bear likes to show dominance and will bark over him. (Less)

I took Zeus in from a home about 6 months ago. He may have been left alone a lot, from what I can tell. I love having him but unfortunately I can't afford his medical costs. He's a good dog, great with our other dog, a Bouvier. He'll make a great companion for whoever is interested.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Michigan
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
