Rescue Me ID: 15-03-18-00573Browning (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Hip Dysplasia, Abused/Neglected

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only.  Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Browning is a great dog. When my fianc̩ and I got him he was abused and very skinny. He had come such a long way. His back has a curve because the people had him in such a small cage that it grew that way. He is great with kids and others. He does come with some issues though. He needs some training. It's very hard for me because I'm not home enough for him. I want a good home for him and that is all. I want him to be happy and be able to play and have the love he needs. I don't want to feel like I'm giving up on him because I'm giving him away I want to feel like this is good for him that he will find that forever home with love and ... (Read More)comfort. I do wish that who ever is interested in him gives him that love that I did. I just am not home enough for this boy. Please contact me if you have anymore questions ! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-18-00231Stella (female)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is Stella. We rescued her 4 years ago. We were told she is Pitt Bull, Rottweiler mix but unsure. We think she may have hound in her. She is a loving, ready to please dog. She loves to play Frisbee, play in the water, go for walks etc. Unfortunately my wife and I have had two children of whom are 3 years and one year old with another on the way. They love to climb on her, pull on her ears and tail. We have another dog who its ok to do that with. So its confusing to the kids as to why they have to stay off Stella but not our other dog. Recently Stella nipped at our 3 year old and we can no longer keep her in good conscious. She really is ... (Read More)a good dog and deserves a good home, with no small children. We recently had a trainer out to work with her and us on our roles as the Alpha's in the home. Stella needs someone who can show themselves as the leader of the pack so she doesn't feel like she needs to defend the home. She used to have issues with other dogs and cats, she hasn't been tested since training enough to know how she would do with another pet in the home, but worth a shot. She is currently in a foster home but we are unsure as to how long they will keep her. The next step is euthanasia. If you have any questions, please contact us. Stella deserves a good home!! She could make someone very happy. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-12-00262Sebastian (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Sebastian is a great, sweet, lug of a black lab mix. Around 4 years old, 75 pounds, with a heart of gold. He loves everything and everyone. If you're looking for a big lap dog, he's your guy. His stuffed toys are his babies and he's proud to share and show them off. Sebastian came to me when he was around a year old with severe separation anxiety issues. Though he has gotten significantly better, it is still a struggle. I hope to find a home that can better work with him on his issues. I have long believed he was abused as a puppy, so he is fearful of swift arm movements and is very sensitive when someone is angry. He is good on walks but ... (Read More)gets overly excited seeing other dogs. Not aggression, just wanting to play. He has lived with numerous cats and dogs and is a saint around them, but he just is too excited seeing a strange dog. I would advise his new home does not have small children. He is easily frightened by them, and barks in a manner I deem to be in defense. It is going to be the most difficult thing in my life to give up my baby, but he deserves a owner who can work with him through his faults. Preferably with a large fenced in yard (he can run) and dog brothers or sisters to play with. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am willing to waive the adoption fee if I am allowed to visit your home to see if you are a suitable option. I need him to go to the best home he deserves as he is a great dog. (Less)

This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
