Black and white, very sweet, knows how to sit and will come when called. Doesn't run away. My daughter left for St. Louis and I can't keep her dog.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-10-13-00139Roscoe (male)|
This big lovable dog was dumped at our house a couple of months ago. We would love to keep him, but we have another dog and a couple of cats and just can not afford him. He loves to snuggle and be petted. He likes to be the center of attention and would probably be best in a one dog household. He likes to lick and jump on people playfully, but I am positive with a little training that could be remedied. He walks well on a leash. I am not sure of his age, but a vet told us he was under a year old after looking at his teeth. He is a large dog, weighing over 60 pounds. I really hate to see him go, but he is just not a good fit for our family. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-10-06-00308Abby (female)|
Abby is a 2-1/2 yr. old (89-lb.) female (Brindle) Boxer mix (3/4-Boxer/1/4-Rottweiler) looking for new adoptive family with a strong but loving and gentle owner. She would work best in a one dog environment, but plays well with other animals which are not part of the immediate family household. References: Trainer/Evaluator - Lauren Turnbull @ 636.290.8320 or Trinitytailstraining@gmail.com Abby's attributes: very sweet and affectionate - much the cuddle bug; easy to train; loves children and is aware of no other existence, except for the children, when they are around; fun-loving and playful; very active and agile; smart; alert; quite the social butterfly; loyal; protective; healthy and strong; likes to be where ever her family is; behaves well when left alone in house; enjoys her quiet time with family, as well as, her family playtime and training; her food is left out all day - she eats only when hungry. Abby's challenges: Needs to be in a one-dog household with a fair amount of attention and physical activity; difficulty staying in the yard when she hears or sees other dogs or children playing - she will sometimes jump a 4-ft. fence to join in on their fun; somewhat high energy level; at times, can be stubborn/determined and very focused on what she wants - but usually minds well; likes to have owner's undivided attention (hint - one dog family); she thinks all dog toys and treats belong to her(again, hint - one dog family); does not like being caged nor placed in a small closed-in area - she may become a bit anxious; she knows how to open doors sometimes; needs a fair amount of playtime; likes to be the Alpha-dog. |Rescue Me ID: 16-09-25-00261Elvis (male)|
Elvis is a 4yo mostly black lab with a touch of rottweiler. He is a sweetheart. Never has he even so much as growled at a person or animal. He was raised as a pup around two cats. Elvis is as strong as a horse and loves meeting everybody. You will not find a happier more friendly and outgoing dog. He is allergic to flea saliva and I keep him on monthly chewable flea pills which takes care of that problem. He also is prone to spraining his back knees. He's had one occurrence and I've treated with anti-inflamitants and pain pills until was better.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-07-00200Dawg Dawg (male)|
Dog best suited for caring adult that can respect a powerful dog. He loves attention and loves to be near his owner but requires more attention than I can give. He has a skin condition that will require some attention. I would like to keep him but my family already has so many animals and he is to powerful to interact with the smaller ones. He generally gets along with our other dogs, cats and even our chickens but can and will hurt smaller animals if provoked.

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
