|Rescue Me ID: 16-01-07-00162Luna (female)|
Luna is a very sweet Rotweiller mix. Very loyal to her current owner. Will need time to get used to new surroundings. She lives with two other dogs and is the alpha. Perfect small guard dog for protection against intruders. She barks but does not attack. Very friendly once she knows you. Good with children, her 1 yr old human brother climbs all over her. In need of a new home due to change in relationship and new job that keeps current owner away from home too much. Will spay and get shots up to date before adoption. We want Luna to go to a loving family with time for her needs.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-19-00177G-Man (male)|
This is G-man! He is a 12 year old Rottweiler (mix?) that found himself in the Fayette pound after he was picked up as a stray, dragging his chain behind him. His owner was found through his rabies tag, but had planned euthanasia for him at the end of the week. He is current on his shots, and heart worm negative. He needs to be neutered. I was told that G-man lived his life on a chain unless it was really cold and then he came inside. He has had routine vet care and his teeth are in good condition. He is a mellow dog that is pretty spry for his age. His only health problem is cataracts but he does still see. He has been with female dogs and does fine.He has not been put him with males since he is still intact and that generally does not work out well. G-man could use a foster home that will give him a bit more attention than he is getting here. If someone wants to adopt him he will be foster to adopt until he gets neutered. G-man walks well on a leash. He does like to jump up and hug me, and though I know he should not be allowed to, he is very sweet about it and acts grateful for being given a chance to live. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
