Rescue Me ID: 15-02-23-00727Copper Coffeepot (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Hi, I'm Copper! I was born on Thanksgiving Day. I'm fifteen months old. I weigh 45 pounds and won't get much bigger. I've had all my puppy shots up to six months. I am sensitive and loyal and love to please. I love to play and go on car rides and I'll fetch anything. I'm great in public and on leash. Off leash, I'll follow you around all day. I love toys and I'm house broke, but if I'm alone and bored those power cords and couch cushions start to look like fun. I was raised a close family companion. My mom worked hard to keep me from developing any permanent bad habits and I'm looking for someone who won't let that hard work go to waste. ... (Read More) I need someone kind enough to understand my sensitive side, yet firm enough to keep my protective nature in check. I'm the kind of dog who would love having a job to do. When I was a puppy I guarded the yard in the mornings with my sisters, mom and aunt. With training, I could be a great cattle dog. I've already had some basic training; I come running to 'kitty, kitty!' I need a home by the beginning of March. The adoption fee helps cover the vet cost to get neutered and update all my shots. Contact my people if you want to meet me! I want to meet you! (Less)

Paisley a SWEET, wonderful little girl who was picked up by animal control when she was found running loose in a Liberty neighborhood.     **Kingston is currently staying in a foster home. If you'd like to schedule a time to meet him, please call Wayside Adoptions at (816)986-4426. Thanks!** Hello there, I'm Kingston. I really hate the spotlight'|really don't like to be the center of attention at all'|so writing my bio is sort of uncomfortable for me. But my foster mom told me this is what I need to do in order to find you. Life isn't always easy and comfortable, I understand that more than most dogs, so I'll try my best to bravely share my story with you. I am gentle, sweet, and shy, with a goofy, silly side that I will only show you with time and patience. I'm looking ... (Read More)for a very special home with someone who can understand me and love me for who I am. It's not easy to get inside the walls that surround me, but once we bond, I will be your loyal friend forever. I am a handsome, one year old, 68 pound, already housetrained, Rottweiler mix. I wish I could tell you all about my past and help explain why I am the way I am. I don't think I was ever socialized during that important time when I was just a pup. No one ever taught me about the bond we dogs share with people. I was on my own with no one to love. One day I found myself wandering along the highway in Grandview, MO. Animal Control picked me up and brought me to Wayside. I have never been so afraid and confused in all my life. I trembled and tried to hide. The people and smells and noises were so incredibly overwhelming to me. I didn't sleep either, because I worried all night about my life and what would happen to me. Then one day, Foster Mom showed up. She was reassuring and gentle with me. She understood. She took me home with her and ever so slowly started to introduce me to life in a home. Ah, I finally felt safe. I've been in my foster home for a couple of months now and life is pretty good! I still get startled though and simple things still scare me. Foster Mom is so patient with me! She knows that I need an extra-long time to adjust to new things, so she never pushes me. When I am comfortable, I let her know. I need you to understand this too, and to be ok with me this way. I will probably never be a social, outgoing dog who loves to meet new people. But I will bond with the people in my family, if I am given time and patience. Please use positive reinforcement with me and gently show me when I am a good dog, by praising me and giving me tasty treats. I'm smart, food motivated, and I love to learn new things, so please teach me! I love other dogs! In fact, I'm looking for a home with another dog to show me the way. I am so much more confident and content when another dog is around. Life doesn't seem nearly as scary when you're with a friend. I'd also like a fenced in yard to romp and play in. Since I'm fearful, I'll need to be supervised whenever I'm outside, at least for now, so that I don't run away. And I think I'll be happiest in a home without kids, since their loud voices and quick movements are scary to me. I will thrive in a home with a quiet and calm energy, with people who will let me be me. I'm well behaved in my foster home, although sometimes I get bursts of puppy energy and I like to steal Foster Mom's blanket or the remote and take off with it. It's a game that makes her smile and my way of showing her that I'm really a goofy puppy at heart. I love to go for walks and I do very well on my leash. When someone is around, I am free to roam around the house. At night and when no one is home, I stay with my foster dog brother in a pen. I love it there! I feel safe, knowing this is my spot and no one will bother me. Sometimes Foster Mom has to coax me out of my pen. That's ok, because I trust her and know she must just want me closer to her. I like that. I like to be wanted. As I've grown more comfortable in my foster home, I'm finally showing off my adorable personality. Life with me will be a journey. Sometimes I will be afraid and stressed. And sometimes my silly, playful side will come out. Always, I will be sweet and gentle. I will learn to trust you, if you will give me time and be patient and kind to me. I will be a wonderful companion to you for the rest of my life. Our journey will be so worth it! Let's get started! Love, Kingston (Less)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Hip Dysplasia

Hi, I'm Rucker. Sure, I'm not as young as some but I'm no different in the sense that I really need a good home. I'm one of the sweetest dogs at M'Shoogys. That's not something you're used to hearing about Rottweilers but I've got to do something to stand out because I've got plenty to overcome. I have hip dysplasia and a bad back knee. I get around on my own but slowly. I'm on pain medication and joint supplements, which have helped. Clearly, the shelter is no place for me. What I need is a person with a big heart who can take me in and make me a part of their life for whatever time I have left on this earth. My favorite part of the day is ... Animal ID: 533Randy (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, my name is Randy. I was caught after running around town loose. I'm a very happy dog and I guess I just didn't understand the danger of not having a home. I got lucky because they found me before anything really bad happened. I'm a fast learner and good on a leash. I've got lots of energy but I'm also obedient. I would make an excellent running partner. I would love to find a home where I can be someone's very best friend. Do you need a new pal? How about you come pay me a visit? I think I can charm my way into your heart.
