he is a Rottweiler/ kangal Shepard mix. he does well with our boxer/bull dog mix. he likes to give hugs even to our 1 1/2 year old daughter. just recently he started to show signs of guarding issues. he loves people and other dogs he loves to play and he loves to love but he has started to love his toys and food more then us. im sure with some solid training he could be the best, but im not willing to risk it with our small child.

Lexi is a 7 year old Rottie. She's in good health and is friendly and super playful. She doesn't like cats but is ok with other dogs. She has only been around kids for short visits, but was fine during these times. She does have a bit of food aggression, but other than that she is smart and very obedient. We have to move out of house and cannot take her to an apartment. Running out of time!

|Rescue Me ID: 17-04-25-00160Scar (female)|
Scar is a beautiful purebred Rottweiler who just needs a loving home. She loves to cuddle and have the attention of the whole house. She has a big yard to play and run in; so new home needs to have land for her to play. She has not been around other dogs in a while because owner doesn't have many friends with dogs. So her behavior around other dogs is unknown.

How can anyone not fall in love with Bella ..just look at this face approx a 5 yro neo mastiff ..but looks exactly like a rotty that would be a beautiful silver /grey in color ...she has fallen in love with everyone she has met ..she can tell who the real dog lovers are as she will drop at your feet and go belly up wanting belly rubs ....so sweet so loving ..has a lil puppy left in her cute and playful at times ..loves going on walks but also enjoys cuddle time ...she is dog selective .....she has been around young teens and has been fine but would not recommend young kids due to her breed...I have seen no human she has not liked in the 5 months I have walked her and cared for her she is a mush long time shelter resident and a favorite among the staff. If your interested in adopting Sweet Bella please give Kelly a call at the Pompton Lakes Animal Hospital at (973) 835-4774. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
