Rescue Me ID: 16-01-29-00371Rosco (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

I had gotton rosco sometime in the beginning of November. When we got him he was extremely scared/anxious and acted aggressively towards anyone. Anytime you would stand up he would growl/snarl. If you went to pet him he would run and hide under the table. He reacted as if he was hit before but I'm not sure. He was only about four months from what we were told. I thought we would give it a little while to see if he would get better. Rosco isn't aggressive towards people in the house. He doesn't act scared/anxious around us. He is extremely hyper and just too much for our family to handle at this time. I would like him to find a home where the ... (Read More)yard is fenced in so he can run and get out his energy. Well a few weeks ago a guy and his daughter came to see if rosco would be a good fit for their family but rosco acted the same way as when we got him. He started snarling/barking/ growling at this man and little girl as if he was trying to protect us. He was very close to biting them. I need to re home rosco ASAP because of these issues (Less)

Rottweiler    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lucy is a 6 year old Rottie who needs a new loving home. We recently had our 4th child and she is no longer getting the attention and exercise that she needs. The chaos of such a busy house also appears to be increasing her anxiety level. She would prefer a calmer setting. She is house trained and can be left home all day while someone is at work with no issues. She enjoys playing with other dogs and loves any attention that she can get. She is not great at greeting people when they come over, either barking or jumping and needs some re-training in this area. She thinks that she is a lap dog and will attempt to sit in laps. She is ... (Read More)well behaved and if we didn't have so much else going we would keep her. She doesn't bark and enjoys being outside to sun herself. She loves walks and is good in the car as well. She would make a great companion for anyone. Please helps find a great home for her! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Pennsylvania
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
