|Rescue Me ID: 17-01-11-00080Apollo (male)|
Meet Apollo! He is a gorgeous, 1 year old Rottweiler mix who weighs 40 pounds. Apollo is an incredibly sweet tripod who loves to play with squeaky toys, lay in dog beds, and arrange soft blankets to lay on. He has a big, bushy tail which wags constantly when he plays with kids. He also does well with other dogs and watches the resident cat. Apollo would love a home to shower him with affection and spoil him with toys. Crate training, housebreaking, and going up and down stairs are a work in progress. Apollo is current with vaccinations and fostered in York, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all breed dog rescue. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all volunteer organization and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-01-09-00091COLT (male)|
This beautiful neutered male dog with the intelligent eye and great focus is COLT. He is handsome, fit, gentle, and friendly. COLT will need a home where he can get exercise and attention. When he was outside to exercise and the volunteers were inside, he kept jumping up to look in the window at us! There is such a good heart in this muscular package. Only about 1-2 years old, COLT is more the strong, silent type at the shelter--not much barking, just interested in interacting with people. Our shelter is located in rural PA; closest city is Pittsburgh. We require a meet and greet with any other dog(s) in the home.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-12-19-00360Koffee (female)|
Meet Koffee! Koffee is a senior girl who is between 12-14 years old. She was surrendered to a high kill shelter when her owners were moving and unable to take her with them. She is a large dog weighing about 90lbs. She is laid back and just wants to chill with her people. She is good with other dogs. Koffee does have a small mammary tumor and is not spayed. Because of her age and the risk a surgery would be she will not be altered at this point. We are looking for an adopter who will love and care for Koffee for the remainder of her life.

Neutered male purebred Rottweiler, AKC Reg, UTD on shots, Micro chipped. Gets along with female dogs, no cats. Friendly to humans, never tested him with children but would definitely knock them over due to his size. He weighs about 150 lbs.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-11-19-00393Marvin (male)|
Sweet and friendly, Marvin is a bit puppyish and needs some obedience training and a home where he gets lots of exercise. We think he is about two years old/Lab/Rott mix. Good with other dogs but NO CATS. No small children for now because he might knock them over; he needs to learn some basic commands. |Rescue Me ID: 16-10-28-00349Prince (male)|
*********COURTESY POST********* Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details about this posting. Just look at that sweet, handsome face! Prince is an 8-9 year old Rotweiler/Pitt Bull Mix. He likes attention and even though he's a big boy ( about 120 lbs), he likes to cuddle on your lap. Unfortunately, Prince's owner passed away and he is now in need of a new, loving, forever home. At his current temporary home his foster Mom is not sure how he will be with other dogs or cats so it is recommended that he be an only pet. Prince is very healthy and is waiting for a new family to call his own. *******Courtesy Post*****This dog is a courtesy post only and being offered for adoption by his current owner/foster. Please email the above address for any information. THANK YOU!!! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-21-00436Pepper (female)|
This gorgeous girl is a 1-2 year old corso/rotti mix, and a complete lovebug!! She is completely house and crate trained, and none destructive (to anything BUT her toys lol) She is a young dog with lots of energy, and needs some room to run but can be calm when settled in. She would be best in a home with a yard and humans with big dog experience to give her basic, and consistent training. She has a slightly malformed front paw that gives her goofy character. Her paw doesn't affect anything though, nor does it need treatment! Her foster mom has had it X-rayed, and it is just from birth. Pepper can be nervous around new people when she doesnt not trust her surroundings. With slow intros will open up quickly if she is in a loving and trusting environment and feels comfortable. She can also be a little shy towards men while on the leash, but in the home she welcomes everyone as long as her trusted human companion is there. Pepper would probably be best in a home with no cats. Though she has never been given the opportunity to hurt the resident cat she is way to interested in getting to him. Simply due to her size, she would probably be best in a home with older children, but she has never shown agression towards kids. And as most big dogs do, even though she is 100 pounds, this sweetheart considers herself a lapdog! Please email email@example.com and get your application in for this deserving gal! http://jandcorescue.weebly.com/adoption-application.html (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-15-00655Rosco (male)|
Rosco is very unpredictable. He is good with my other dogs and cats. He knocks children over, so I wouldn't recomend a home with them. He like females rather than males, he cowers around males. I honestly think rosco was abused at his previous home because when I brought him home he was aggressive and fearful now he is very hyper and dominant. If someone were to pick him up I would have to take him out of my home because he's extremely territorial of his property. I would rather someone who knows about his breed to adopt him. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Pennsylvania|
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
