Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Tess is a very sweet dog. She thinks she is a lap dog. Gets along well with my small dog. She needs a home with someone that can walk her or play more with her. She get nervous around new people at 1st. Once she is around them a few minutes she calms down. She gets very excited and anxious around small children and starts to drool. Not sure what that is about. If she is going to be around children I usually give her melatonin. I would like to have her go to someone close to us so that we can do a gradual transfer. My son is her second owner and I am afraid if someone gets comes and takes her away it will make her even more nervous. ... (Read More)It would be great if you could meet her and spend some time with her for a couple visits. Maybe take her for a car ride. She loves the car and is so good during rides. She rode all the way back from Florida with me and was a perfect angel. There is a park near by that you could walk her. I am not home a lot and she loves people and interaction. I can't give her the attention and exercise that she needs. She was spayed about a week ago and I also had a chip put in her. Although she will never run away. She never strays far from my sight or side when we are outside. (Less)

Callie is a great dog who loves to lounge around but doesn't mind taking a walk or two a day. We have a 16 month old daughter at home and Callie's anxiety has been increasing. We want to avoid separation of our family as well as prevent any issues from happening. We want to find her a loving home were she can relax and be herself. Callie is good with larger dogs but small ones could be an issue.

Callie is our 7 year old rottweiler and she has been apart of our family since she was 10 weeks old. We love her very much and are very sad that we have to find a new home for her. We have a 14 month old daughter and she loves Callie very much but Callie has not been around children much, so she doesnt understand all the running around that a toddler does! She is a very good do but we feel she needs to be in a home with no children. Callie loves to be loved, walked, cuddling & even helps with cooking or clean up! Please if Callie would be a fit for you please contact us as soon as possible! Thank you

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in South Carolina
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
