|Rescue Me ID: 17-07-18-00377Razor (male)|
He is approximately 4 years old and weights 60-65 pounds. He is probably a pit / Rottweiler mix. He is a sweet dog who wants to sit in your lap and is afraid of thunder and storms. He gets along well with children and cats. Our granddaughter can sit on him and he does not try to nip at her at all. He loves to be around people. Currently our son is living with us with his other male dog. This makes it difficult as we have to keep them apart. He has one fault - he can jump the fence. We are not sure if he can jump a very high fence but he did dig under our fence. He has wandered off far down the road and also joined people walking. Our neighbor several doors down from our has brought him home several times. He does respond to his name and will follow directions. We have 4 cats and are planning to move so as much as he is a good dog, we really need to find him a good home. We are moving and will not be have a yard to keep him. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
