Rottweiler Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Heartworm Positive

These dogs were abandoned by their owner of 6 years. They are neighborhood dogs so I have come to know them quite well, and am feeding them now. I cannot afford to keep them because I already have 2 rescue dogs and can't afford 2 more. Roscoe is a neutered, male Rottie mix, about 7 years old. He is layback and affectionate, housetrained, and he tested positive for heartworm. His owner did not give him HW preventative. He is presently receiving Heartgard. Roscoe and his female, spayed friend, Daisy are a bonded pair who would like to have a family of their own with a large fenced yard. Much as I have grown to love them, I can't keep ...     *CROSSPOST* Shadow is a 5 year old black male lab/rottweiler mix in need of a home ASAP! Our rescue is full and we cannot take him. I have met him and he is a very nice dog, laid back and gets along great with other dogs and does well with kids. He also knows 'sit' & 'down.' He is very food motivated so appears he is easily taught. He needs to gain some weight, but otherwise appears healthy. If we cannot find a place for him QUICKLY, his owner will be taking him to the pound. PLEASE HELP!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in South Carolina
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
