Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Jeff! He is an large adult Rottweiler who is neutered and very well mannered. He is laid back, up to date on his shots, and great with his foster brother. He is doing much better since he first arrived at our clinic, and is quickly getting back up to a healthy weight. Adoption fees include up to date shots and heartworm preventative, vet exam, and microchipping. His adoption fees are $125. We are located in Seneca, SC. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't ... (Read More)make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. If you cannot adopt but would like to help, consider sponsoring a pet by donating through the 'sponsor a pet' button. This money will help us provide for this pet and others - even a small donation goes a long way towards helping us save more pets! Please email or call us at (864)972-9994 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligibile for 25% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. For more information about CARE and to see our adoption application, go to our website, To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, and email it to We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and offiicially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-15-00042Abilene (female)

Rottweiler    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

Abilene is a very pretty girl about 2 years old. She's happy all the time and lives for attention. She's crate trained, housebroken, leash trained, really good for baths and even knows a few commands. She loves to go for walks and LOVES playing in water, even if it is coming out of the hose. She's currently taking oral medication for the treatment of heartworms but takes it really well (she thinks it is a treat) and is something that can be done by her new adopter. Abilene lives in a household that has other dogs, both large and small and gets along with everyone just fine. She should get along with just about anyone as long as proper ... (Read More)introductions are made. She doesn't like other dogs coming up to her while she eats, so she should be fed her in her crate or off by herself in peace and quiet. She's fine with sharing her food or bowl with humans, just not dogs. Abilene is great with her human foster brother and her foster mom's 2 year old grandbaby. She sometimes forgets how big she is though, so might do better living with older kids. She's a bit too interested in the family cat and acts likes she would chase her so they are kept apart. A household with kitties would be recommended. Her most endearing quality is how happy she is when her foster family comes home or talks to her. She wiggles her whole body!! She is just so happy and has so much love to give. Abilene will make someone very lucky! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in South Carolina
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
