Animal ID: 29501148Hannah (female)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I am very loyal, obedient and full of personality. I love people, but will do best being the only pet in your home with older children. I crave lots of attention and will snuggle next to you on the floor. I will talk to you (growl and bark) if I need you or want to play. I can be playful whether I'm chasing a toy or playing tug of war with my ropes (medium-activity home). I like going on walks and stop from time to time to sniff around. I enjoy car rides with my nose against the window. I am house trained and crate trained. Wherever you are in the house, garage or yard, that's where you'll find me. Hannah weighs about 87 pounds.

Rescue Me ID: 16-02-05-00308Princess (female)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Princess is a sweet, hyper 3 year old lab/rott mix. She is a rescue, she does great with children and adults. I have never had her around babies. She does not get along with other animals at all, she was not properly socialized as a puppy. She is dominant, but was easily broken with some effort. She knows sit, lay, wait, and down. She knows no and okay. She is high energy, and will really need a yard to run and play. She needs a single animal family who has a fenced in yard and is willing to take the time to work on her temperament. Princess can get along with other animals if introduced to them while they are puppies. I love princess ... (Read More)dearly and will only consider families who are open to me and my husband seeing princess's living conditions, meeting her, and seeing the new families interaction with her. She is a great dog, but she needs time and attention, which we do not have right now. She is 70 pounds. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-16-00168Elka (female)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Precious Elka! She was born Nov 19th of 2014, just two days after her mom, who was a Doberman pinscher mix was pulled from a high kill facility. Unfortunately, her mom was in such bad shape that she passed away shortly after a complicated labor where she lost several of her babies. Her remaining puppies (4) we hand raised and adopted to families. Unfortunately, Elka was returned to rescue in July. She is still a puppy and weighs 45 lbs. She is short and kind of a low rider which makes the vet think she may be mixed with basset hound (her father is unknown) but she also looks to have some Rottweiler in her lineage. Her siblings are all doing ... (Read More)great in their homes but Elka was struggling to fit into hers after the other dog in the home that was her buddy and strength passed away. She has blossomed in rescue in confidence and adapting. She loves other dogs of all sizes, is fascinated but gentle with cats, and is great with our children and the pigs even! She loves to cuddle on the couch with people and corrects easily. A simple 'no' and she redirects. She is such a gorgeous girl with a soft and shiny coat. Elka deserves her forever after. If interested in meeting/adopting Elka, please complete the adoption application found at httpa// Meet and greets are only scheduled after adoption application approval. We ask for only 48 hours to process the application! FBS standard adoption fee is $150. This assists with the cost of vetting. Elka has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, current on preventatives and dewormings. Thank you for considering giving a forever home to a rescue! Feel free to visit our FB page for more pictures and updates as well. We were relocated to Minot North Dakota with the military and moved the rescue with us, however, have worked out transportation for several dogs to their forever families in South Carolina with our rescue coordinator there. If interested in adopting, please feel free to contact us or visit for the adoption application! Thank you! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in South Carolina
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
