Rescue Me ID: 14-08-17-00339Beatrice (female)
A stray Rottie started camping out our in our front yard Easter weekend of this year. She was super malnourished and filthy, and from the looks of her tummy, had given birth to many litters of puppies. We started to cautiously feed her, and discovered her to be a sweet girl, eager for love. We are not dog people, but if we had to guess, she seems to be over 4 years old. Her milk was clearly dried up, but she was saggy underneath and looked like she had not been treated very well. Her nose has some minor scarring that make us think she was muzzled in her past? The shelters in our area are all kill shelters, and since she is a big girl who needed a lot of TLC we knew her chances were slim. She has been living in our backyard since April and we call her Beatrice! We have been able to give her the nutrition she needed to gain back some weight and stop shedding her hair. Unfortunately, we are renters, and are unable to give her the forever home she deserves. She has lived exclusively outside in our enclosed yard with a donated dog house, but our landlord is not aware that she is on our property. We know she needs to be in a home where she can come inside and be with the people she loves, she is very lonely. Beatrice has proven to be a sweet girl, who has been very gentle with my two young children. She has shown no aggression of any kind to us, but has flinched and growled quietly at strangers who approach her too eagerly. Although she needs training, she has done well on walks and has not been aggressive to other dogs that she has passed. We have been trying for months to locate a home for her and have had no success. We can not provide the care and love she deserves and are running out of options! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-15-00540Hank (male)
A friend of mine found him and went door to door and posed adds everywhere for 2 weeks and no one has claimed him. He was obviously a pet and he is so sweet I'm not sure why no one claimed him. They could not keep him so now I have him and can't really afford to keep him either so I'm looking for a good home for him. We have been calling him hank and he loves attention but is skittish of harsh tones. But other then that he is awsome!! No cost unless we have to transport him and then it will only be for the price of transportation.

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-01-00185Cujo (male)
I am posting this message to warn others in my area about a very dangerous couple. I used this site to find my boy a good home. Due to my landlords' home owners insurance, we had to rehome our baby. I had held him the night he was born, and saw him every day. He came to our home at 4 weeks old and was such a source of happiness for my whole family. He was 5 when we had to find a new forever home. i wish i could have afforded to move, but unfortunately that was not an option. I listed him on this site in the beginning of May. I talked to sseveral people about my Cujo. Loria (Kay) Darrow and husband Doug Darrow seemed to be the best fit. THey promised to make him an inside dog and to shower him with love and affection. They told me not to worry, if for some reason they were unable to keep him, they would return him to me. My biggest fear was him being passed from home to home and never know the love and attention that my children and I showered him with. The day they came to pick him up was not good. He was terrified to get in their car. We actually had to sedate him to get him in the vehicle. Made me feel like the worst possible person. My dog had been a loyal and trusting friend and i felt as though i had betrayed him. But they stuck around, I felt that proved they were the best choice. It was a very difficult night and they still wanted him. We added each other on facebook so i could keep up with him... Tha was May 8th. I got a ton of messages telling me what a wonderful dog he was, so smart and well behaved.(YES( I DO STILL HAVE EVERY ONE) then one day LORIA DARROW sent a message saying they were going to kill him. their neighbors dog had gotten rough with a new puppy, and cujo had killed the other dog. I begged for them to not kill my boy, told them i would come get him immediately! for days I begged of news and begged to let me have him back July 6th. the wife told me that she would not deal with him, he was DOUG DARROWs problem now. Doug assured me that Cujo was fine, they werent putting him down and he was a good boy. Then wednesday, Kay says they gave him away. I reminded her that our agreement was that they would return him to me, asked her and her husband to please keep their word. Last night DOUG DARROW sent me a message saying he was dead. Said they kept him til he died so they didnt lie. My heart is broken for my boy and I do not want anyone else to feel this pain. Be very careful when rehoming your pet. there are sick people out there (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-21-00015Filo & Chester (male)
Filo is a 4 year old Catahoula mix and Chester is a 3 year old Rottweiler mix. Filo is approximately 45 pounds and Chester is about 65 pounds. Filo and Chester are a bonded pair of best friends. Filo and Chester are a pair of strays that survived on their own at the old Raleigh Springs Mall for almost a year. Filo became injured and Chester quickly became his protector. The boys never left each others side and wanted nothing to do with us humans. The entire Memphis Rescue community came together and launched an all out rescue effort. Filo and Chester were way smarter than us and after about 6 weeks we trapped both boys and their lives changed for ever. The boys have thrived in their foster home and both have decided they love the good life. The boys are good with other dogs, people, children and even cats. They love ear scratches, belly rubs, play time and snuggle time. We feel we must keep them together. They have survived so much together they deserve to spend the rest of their happy days together. The boys are up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro chipped, house broken and crate trained. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-06-00623Coco (female)
Hi there my name is Coco. I am a 4 year old Rott/ Black and Tan Hound mix. I am 4 years old and I weigh 74 pounds. I am a very laid back, low energy kind of girl. I mostly enjoy lying around getting my belly rubbed or my ears scratched. Every now and then I get a feeling to play. Mostly I like being with you hanging out. I don't mind older children but I don't like toddlers. I like other dogs that are low energy like me and that will be happy doing their own thing while I do mine. I do not like cats. Cats are just gross, they poop in a box, yuck! I am a perfect lady in the home and even though I don't mind a crate I don't need one. I am house broken. I have had all of my vaccinations and I am spayed. I also have a microchip. If you are looking for the perfect dog then you must choose me. I am perfect in every way. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
