Meet Rocky Top! This sweet boy is waiting for his fur ever family. He's good with other dogs not so sure on cats - is not good around other farm animals like chickens or goats. He's not aggressive just plays a little rough. He's a wonderful pup that will make one lucky family an amazing companion. He's already neutered and up to date on vaccines. Come down to the ranch and meet Rocky Top! He's waitin' for ya!

|Animal ID: SSRR17-0808-040Arnold (male)|
Hi! I'm Arnold! And though I'm not nearly as big as Arnold from HBOs Entourage, what I lack in size I make up for in personality! I'm about three months old and nothing can stop me! I'm a very determined pup who doesn't let much get in my way. I live with my three foster brothers (who are all grumpy old men and don't like when I chase their tails...) and my foster sister, but she's a kitty cat. Sometimes we play together and I chase her, but it's all in good fun. I really enjoy living with other animals, but even if it is just us I'm great with that too. I'd love to be your go-to hiking buddy, or running buddy and I love car rides! We could have such a great time exploring together! I'm a relatively quiet guy, except when you put me in my crate, I HATE that. My foster mom says I must be part hound because of my big ears and the howling I do when I'm in my crate.... (She also thinks I'm part Belgian Malinois because i have a slim body, face, and lanky legs!!) but other than howling I have very good manners. Sometimes I get mouthy when playing but no matter what I am always gentle. I walk nicely on a leash in the yard, and I 'sit' on command, I even wait patiently for my food! I 'stay' pretty well too, but mom says we need to work on that. I'm also great at telling when I need to go out, which is helpful since I love to drink water. I rarely have accidents in the house though! I'm very adventurous and there is no place out of my reach. I'm not allowed on the couch at home, but that doesn't mean I don't try! I admit I just want to be comfy, and I love to sleep, but I'm very picky about where I sleep, but who doesn't love pillows and blankets? Overall I'm a happy go lucky puppy that just needs an adventurous someone with lots of time and love to help me continue to grow into the great dog I know I can be!! Could that be you? (Less)

|Animal ID: SSRR17-0601-028Teddy (male)|
Hi I'm Teddy! I am hoping to find my forever home. I think I'm a pretty good boy. I am potty trained, crate trained, and I do know my basic commands. I don't jump on people, but im not afraid to ask for a head scratch. I have to admit I'm a little stubborn, but hey we all can be right?? My world was turned upside down when my former owners decided they didn't want me anymore. So it takes me a minute to learn to trust. But once I've got your trust, I'll do anything you ask. There are 2 other dogs that I live with. I haven't met them yet, I have to take my time with introductions. I've lived with a smaller dog before. If I had my druthers, I'd like to be the only dog. I'm not fond of sharing my time with my foster parents. I love them so much, I want them all to myself. I love just chilling on the back porch with my foster parents and trying to catch flies. I love squeaky toys and going for short walks. I'm kinda lazy, so don't want to go to far. I love all people and I'm ready to give you all my love. Is there someone out there that will love me forever? (Less)

CoCo is an amazingly loving beautiful baby girl. She is approximately 1 year old. She enjoys playing and a good back scratching. She gets along great with her foster sister Bear Bear. She hates lawnmowers and rakes. LOL. I would not suggest really small kids as she is a stout little girl at 50 lbs. If you are interested please email us for an application.

Well, hello there good lookin'! My name is Axle and I'm a gorgeous Rottweiler/Australian Shepherd mix. I'm on the larger side, as I weigh 65 pounds and I'm quite energetic. So I need a person or persons who will be strong enough to handle me and provide me with some structure. I am super smart. I know how to sit and I am crate trained. I love all people, so I can be a little boisterous at times and need a dog savvy person or family. As a bonus, a training session will be provided by RARE to ensure my success with the right family. I've done well with other dogs, but I can be dominant, so submissive females are a better match for me. I'm basically a big puppy in a big dog's body, to tell you the truth. I would love to meet you and find out if you are the right match for me! If you would like to set up a meet with me, please apply for me at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org My adoption fee is $125.00. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and micro-chipped. *****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT/MEET & GREET ARE REQUIRED***** Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information. All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have. Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption. Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE! ***Please Note*** The breeds noted are guesses on the part of the volunteers of RARE based on the physical characteristics of the particular animal. |Rescue Me ID: 15-11-03-00239Molly (female)|
Are you looking for a loyal and true best friend, never too busy to cuddle? Meet Molly; a 6 yr. old female Rottweiler Mix who was abandoned at an animal shelter near Winston Salem, NC. Molly had been severely neglected; in addition to being sick with various illnesses, she was emaciated and heartworm positive. Molly's time was up that day. Her condition and appearance made her unadoptable, and the shelter was out of room; sadly, she found herself first on 'The List.' Molly was only hours from being euthanized when SSRR rescued her. Life has changed for this very sweet, loving girl. Molly loves being taken care of by her Foster Dad. He plays fetch with her, and she gets lots of love and attention. Her favorite position is cuddling while they watch ball games together... and she never talks during the kickoff or important plays!! Molly just loves hanging out with her human! Molly is a survivor! She has been treated for heartworms, spayed, and is now healthy and ready for her forever home and family. She is house-trained and crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Molly has been through so much at the hands of those she had trusted to take care of her; yet, she is very friendly to everyone and loves to give kisses. Despite her past, Molly still loves people and wants her very own family. This sweetheart will melt your heart the moment you meet her. If you want unconditional love, this little lady is your match. Molly does well with children and male dogs (when introduced slowly); no cats. A fenced yard is a requirement; no underground fencing. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-05-31-00079Sammie (male)|
Sammie, or as we call her, Sam, is a spirited girl at 16 months old. She's made great strides in a year, from being scared of everything to being more interested in the big world. She's a happy, loving girl who loves to play and run with her dog companions. She likes having a companion dog to go outside with and rough and tumble with. She has become the typical teenager, talking back to her humans when she feels she has something to say. Her 'roo-roos' are comical and it's hard not to laugh at her vocalizations. She also likes to grab you with her paw to get your attention, meaning she's trying to tell you something. Sam has been learning manners and sits nicely, making eye contact, for her meals and treats. Still in need of some leash training, she wants to pull and wander a bit on walks. She likes her walks, and rides in the car quite nicely. Still a bit shy in meeting strangers, she will warm up to them if they offer her a treat. Sam is house trained and kennel trained and is quite willing to go into her kennel with just a 'kennel up' command, but she really likes a peanut butter stuffed Kong, too. She weighs 48 pounds and will probably not get any bigger. She does well with small and large dogs and, though still interested in cats, does not hurt them other than to want to mouth them. A simple 'leave it' command works to curb her interest. Sam is well-mannered and has learned many commands. All she needs now is someone to call her own. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
