Looks mostly Rottweiler. Tank is a bit hyper but I am sure that he could be calmed by right person. He is my daughter's dog but she had to move to a place that won't let her have him. He is a bit much for my husband and I to handle.

Animal ID: 17-09-01-00403Rosie (female)
Meet Rosie the sister of Diesel and Negley. She is the small one the family and she has the most personality. I just love to hold her. These pups have been handled quite a bit. The mom was a full blooded, papered Rot and dad a Rot-Golden Retriever mix. He is a good family dog. The mom of the pups was not such a good dog mom. People were worn to a frazzel and surrendered the 3 survivors. ( 4 total were born) The adoptions can happen so their puppy ness can be loved and enjoyed but their vaccinations, as pups are a must and so is a spay at the correct time. Rescue pays for all the needed veterinary care. Thanks for considering adoption.

Animal ID: 8095Molly (female)
Molly came to our rescue from a hoarder situation. She was neglected and mistreated for her 3 y. of life. Molly loves male humans but need a strong Female in her life to show her that is ok to trust again. She do NOT get along with Female dogs but like Male dogs. She didn't had any accidents in the house, so we can say she is house trained. She is scheduled to be spayed Tue. 8-22-2017 and is UTD on her shots, and is on Flea/Tick prevention. If you are interested in her prior her Spay, we have payed for the spay already and scheduled her appointment with our vet for that day. Her adoption fee is $250.00 and an adoption agreement has to be signed with us. Find it in your hart to give this wonderful girl a loving, caring, FUR ever home. We Thank you all in advance. Please Spay/Neuter your animals. (Less)

Animal ID: SSRR17-0615-033Friday (male)
Will you leave me too? Everyone always leaves me... Meet Friday! The dog with the looks, personality, and charm to make him 'Dog of the Year' in any household! Friday is a Rottweiler & German Shepard Mix. Brown and golden colored. With a handsome, squishy, and chunky face! Gorgeous coat. Shiny. Healthy and vibrant look to him. He's about 68 lbs (up from the low 50's when he first came to us neglected and starving!). Neutered, UTD on all shots, Heartworm Preventative and Flea & Tick Meds. Micro chipped. He is an empathetic, playful (get ready because he's oh-so-playful and energetic!!), snuggle-bear and your soon-to-be rock! Friday cares so much about how others feel and wants everyone in the household to be happy and loved! This is all he wants! To love and be loved! So simple. He'll be that shoulder you cry on, soft fur to bury your face in, cheek to press to your own with eyes closed-- he's the best friend you didn't know you were missing. Friday loves you already-- and you've only just met through a picture! Friday would flourish in a household where he is not left alone all day. He has anxiety from being abandoned at a very young age. Solitude, scavenging, and desertion are things he sadly learned best after being left to roam the rural countryside for many months until he serendipitously came into our hands. He is fearful of being left alone for long periods of time and can get into quite naughty behavior if left to his own devices for too long. He longs to trust that a family will always be there for him. He craves frequent two-legged and/or four-legged companionship. No more solitude! He has seemingly been hit on repeated occasion-- as can only be surmised by his penchant for cowering and hanging his head low in undeserved defeat. He being so young, though, his beginning years should be but forgotten memories when he meets and belongs to his true forever home. He loves dogs (loves to play with them!) and is funnily impartial to cats. He ADORES and DELIGHTS in children. Do you have a child playmate elementary school age and up for him to play with, cuddle next to, sleep beside? Then Friday is your child's next best friend too! He will be over-the-moon over such an innocent and playful small human companion and fiercely loyal to the whole family unit-- from the smallest to the tallest. He takes well to training-- thrives off of order, consistency, and interactive instructions. He is very intelligent! What he could learn and do if someone took the time to train him! His eyes dance when 'lessons' begin-- bottomless eyes that see to the depths of your soul! Not only seeing, knowing, but begging for only one thing: to be loved eternally and wholeheartedly. Without any 'take backs.' He longs to be a pet in a home with a fence because he likes to run and stretch his legs when the mood strikes him; so he needs a good protective boundary to keep him safe for when this free-spirited mood may strike his fancy! He would love a playful and friendly canine companion to help him learn the ropes in his new home. He may vie for the alpha position, so a home where he can take that spot happily by all or co-exist in comradeship as a 'close second' alpha would be ideal. Though, too, if he were just one-on-one with a human pal, consistently and frequently, and no other furry friends in the house, this too could be exactly what this dog needs! As long as he is with a loved one, has someone beloved to play with (don't forget he's so very playful!) and to snuggle with, he is eternally happy and content. Friday has TOO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE to be without a home and family! Do you have a warm embrace that will never grow cold and an open LOYAL heart for Friday ? A TRULY FOREVER home? If so, he would love to meet you! (Less)

Animal ID: SSRR17-0601-028Teddy (male)
Hi I'm Teddy! I am hoping to find my forever home. I think I'm a pretty good boy. I am potty trained, crate trained, and I do know my basic commands. I don't jump on people, but im not afraid to ask for a head scratch. I have to admit I'm a little stubborn, but hey we all can be right?? My world was turned upside down when my former owners decided they didn't want me anymore. So it takes me a minute to learn to trust. But once I've got your trust, I'll do anything you ask. There are 2 other dogs that I live with. I haven't met them yet, I have to take my time with introductions. I've lived with a smaller dog before. If I had my druthers, I'd like to be the only dog. I'm not fond of sharing my time with my foster parents. I love them so much, I want them all to myself. I love just chilling on the back porch with my foster parents and trying to catch flies. I love squeaky toys and going for short walks. I'm kinda lazy, so don't want to go to far. I love all people and I'm ready to give you all my love. Is there someone out there that will love me forever? (Less)

CoCo is an amazingly loving beautiful baby girl. She is approximately 1 year old. She enjoys playing and a good back scratching. She gets along great with her foster sister Bear Bear. She hates lawnmowers and rakes. LOL. I would not suggest really small kids as she is a stout little girl at 50 lbs. If you are interested please email us for an application.

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-05-00132Axle (male)
Well, hello there good lookin'! My name is Axle and I'm a gorgeous Rottweiler/Australian Shepherd mix. I'm on the larger side, as I weigh 65 pounds and I'm quite energetic. So I need a person or persons who will be strong enough to handle me and provide me with some structure. I am super smart. I know how to sit and I am crate trained. I love all people, so I can be a little boisterous at times and need a dog savvy person or family. As a bonus, a training session will be provided by RARE to ensure my success with the right family. I've done well with other dogs, but I can be dominant, so submissive females are a better match for me. I'm basically a big puppy in a big dog's body, to tell you the truth. I would love to meet you and find out if you are the right match for me! If you would like to set up a meet with me, please apply for me at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org My adoption fee is $125.00. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and micro-chipped. *****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT/MEET & GREET ARE REQUIRED***** Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information. All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have. Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption. |Rescue Me ID: 15-11-03-00239Molly (female)|
Are you looking for a loyal and true best friend, never too busy to cuddle? Meet Molly; a 6 yr. old female Rottweiler Mix who was abandoned at an animal shelter near Winston Salem, NC. Molly had been severely neglected; in addition to being sick with various illnesses, she was emaciated and heartworm positive. Molly's time was up that day. Her condition and appearance made her unadoptable, and the shelter was out of room; sadly, she found herself first on 'The List.' Molly was only hours from being euthanized when SSRR rescued her. Life has changed for this very sweet, loving girl. Molly loves being taken care of by her Foster Dad. He plays fetch with her, and she gets lots of love and attention. Her favorite position is cuddling while they watch ball games together... and she never talks during the kickoff or important plays!! Molly just loves hanging out with her human! Molly is a survivor! She has been treated for heartworms, spayed, and is now healthy and ready for her forever home and family. She is house-trained and crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Molly has been through so much at the hands of those she had trusted to take care of her; yet, she is very friendly to everyone and loves to give kisses. Despite her past, Molly still loves people and wants her very own family. This sweetheart will melt your heart the moment you meet her. If you want unconditional love, this little lady is your match. Molly does well with children and male dogs (when introduced slowly); no cats. A fenced yard is a requirement; no underground fencing. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-31-00079Sammie (male)
Sammie, or as we call her, Sam, is a spirited girl at 16 months old. She's made great strides in a year, from being scared of everything to being more interested in the big world. She's a happy, loving girl who loves to play and run with her dog companions. She likes having a companion dog to go outside with and rough and tumble with. She has become the typical teenager, talking back to her humans when she feels she has something to say. Her 'roo-roos' are comical and it's hard not to laugh at her vocalizations. She also likes to grab you with her paw to get your attention, meaning she's trying to tell you something. Sam has been learning manners and sits nicely, making eye contact, for her meals and treats. Still in need of some leash training, she wants to pull and wander a bit on walks. She likes her walks, and rides in the car quite nicely. Still a bit shy in meeting strangers, she will warm up to them if they offer her a treat. Sam is house trained and kennel trained and is quite willing to go into her kennel with just a 'kennel up' command, but she really likes a peanut butter stuffed Kong, too. She weighs 48 pounds and will probably not get any bigger. She does well with small and large dogs and, though still interested in cats, does not hurt them other than to want to mouth them. A simple 'leave it' command works to curb her interest. Sam is well-mannered and has learned many commands. All she needs now is someone to call her own. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Tennessee
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
