Rescue Me ID: 14-07-03-00474Jake (male)
This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Jake is 2 1/2. He was updated on all his shots today and is heartworm neg. He is happy go lucky. He needs a home with a fenced in yard. He is happiest like this since he has spent his life on a heavy chain. He is scheduled to be neutered next week. I am a neighbor that finally got him relinquished to me. I did make them both sign that they were giving the dog to me, but I need to get him away from the neigborhood asap.

Animal ID: 14-06-12-00516St Patti (female)
Rottweiler Mix ~Adult ~ Female ~ Large~ located at the Carroll County Humane Society, McKenzie, TN (West Tn) St. Patti is the SWEETEST dog in the history of the world and she came into rescue crammed in a rabbit hutch with her 9 babies who were only about 2 days old. The whole family was jammed in that hutch and left on the shelter's doorstep on St. Patrick's Day. One of the puppies died that night but the rest all got big and strong with the help of a wonderful foster parent. The puppies all found homes in New York, and now it is St. Patti's turn. We are guessing her to be a rotti mix and about 2 years old. She unfortunately tested positive for heartworms but is doing very well on her slow kill treatment and has shown no ill effects of the medication. St. Patti's best friend is a whacko aussie and Patti and her friend play all the time. Patti also lives with a bunch of other dogs - most of them weenies - and she is good with them too. She is approximately 70 pounds of sweet dog love and deserves a loving home where she will be cared for and loved. If you are interested in St. Patti, please let us know. She is in foster care with Patti and we can arrange a meet and greet with you. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-21-00015Filo & Chester (male)
Filo is a 4 year old Catahoula mix and Chester is a 3 year old Rottweiler mix. Filo is approximately 45 pounds and Chester is about 65 pounds. Filo and Chester are a bonded pair of best friends. Filo and Chester are a pair of strays that survived on their own at the old Raleigh Springs Mall for almost a year. Filo became injured and Chester quickly became his protector. The boys never left each others side and wanted nothing to do with us humans. The entire Memphis Rescue community came together and launched an all out rescue effort. Filo and Chester were way smarter than us and after about 6 weeks we trapped both boys and their lives changed for ever. The boys have thrived in their foster home and both have decided they love the good life. The boys are good with other dogs, people, children and even cats. They love ear scratches, belly rubs, play time and snuggle time. We feel we must keep them together. They have survived so much together they deserve to spend the rest of their happy days together. The boys are up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro chipped, house broken and crate trained. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-06-00623Coco (female)
Hi there my name is Coco. I am a 4 year old Rott/ Black and Tan Hound mix. I am 4 years old and I weigh 74 pounds. I am a very laid back, low energy kind of girl. I mostly enjoy lying around getting my belly rubbed or my ears scratched. Every now and then I get a feeling to play. Mostly I like being with you hanging out. I don't mind older children but I don't like toddlers. I like other dogs that are low energy like me and that will be happy doing their own thing while I do mine. I do not like cats. Cats are just gross, they poop in a box, yuck! I am a perfect lady in the home and even though I don't mind a crate I don't need one. I am house broken. I have had all of my vaccinations and I am spayed. I also have a microchip. If you are looking for the perfect dog then you must choose me. I am perfect in every way. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
