Rescue Me ID: 16-09-04-00086Simone (female)
We aren't exactly sure of Simone's breed. She was left starving in the country. We went and got her after the report. Simone was a little shy at first but came around very quickly. She's very affectionate and loving. We think she's around 10 months old. She's doing great on her house training. She gets along great with everyone. Only issue we have had is she wants to eat everyone's food. If sweet Simone could complete your family call her foster Angel at 931-332-6710.

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-24-00340Brutus (male)
tus is a red-colored wiith a white blaze on his chest and a few white toes. He is well-nourished with up-to-date vaccines, he has a docked tail but not ears. He was a 17th b'day present for my 21 y/o when he was 17. My mom gave me a female mixed-breed pit-bull, and my younger son got a blue-nosed red-nose mixed pit-bull. My oldest son moved n took his dog with him. He recently moved into an apartment with a 'NO PET' policy, so he brought him back to my house; however, in the time that Brutus was gone, The red nose/blue-nosed pit decided he was the ALPHA_MALE, we have to keep them COMPLETLY APART, he is leash-trained and house-broken and I REALLY hate to have to get him placed with someone else but having to take them out separately, day n night is wearing me out (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-23-00577Brutus (male)
Brutus is a very sweet dog to humans; unfortunately his 'owner' my son, just had a baby and they're is a no pet clause at his rental, so he brought him to my house where I already have three other dogs, one of which is a mixed red-nose and blue nose pit and they DO NOT get along AT ALL. Since Brutus was gone from this house for several months and while he was gone the red/blue nosed pit decided he was Alpha Male, if they even see each other the fight is on. Brutus is not mean at all to the other two, one of which is his male son, he has NEVER been mean to him or to the female who is his son's mother. He is an extremely loving dog to his owners, and sweet to any visitors. I just want him in a safe place, somewhere with some land maybe a farm where he can run and play. I LOVE this dog, he's like a family member and I really don't want to give him away but it's no kinda life to be locked up in a bedroom and only get to go outside when I take him on walks. He is leash-trained and house-broken. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-24-00040Beau (male)
This dog was saved from Death Row and was treated for Heartworm. He looks to be a Beauceron Mix, and needs his own yard to run around in. He cannot be left alone indoors and likes constant companionship. He was listed in the shelter as a Rottie Mix, but his long, un-boxed forehead and longer nose make him look like he possibly can be Beauceron, however he does not have the dewclaw that is typical of a Beauceron. He is a gentle soul if he finally gets to know you, as I had him for 30 days while he was healing from his heartworm treatment. He has been with trainers to try to work with him. He will need lots of extra patience with a person that understands 'dog' language. He needs his own doggy door to go in and out to your fenced yard. He appears to have had a very difficult life of apparent abuse, neglect and abandonement before we got him, and that certainly is not his fault. If you can adopt him, we can have room to save another. We might be willing to work with other rescue groups, long as they can be investigated in full. We want the best for this boy, you must not ever surrender him again. Home visit recommended, just get with us. To me, he is a diamond in the rough! 5.5 years old. (Less)

Very energetic and playful puppy. Doesn't get enough attention or training to suit her. Would make a great single guard dog and family dog if given firm training. Does well on a leash and knows several commands. Just wasn't started early enough and she wants a job.

Hi all my name is Highway. I am a 3 year old Rottweiler mix. I weigh about 80 pounds and I am full grown. I bet you are wondering how I got the name Highway aren't you? My owner dumped me on the side of a deserted highway with my bag of belongings. It was freezing rain and I sat there all day waiting for them to come back. This nice man had seen me that morning on his way to work and when he saw me still sitting there on his way home he stopped to check on me. I was so cold and my fur was starting to freeze. I just couldn't wait any more so I jumped in his truck and off to his house we went. Man did I get lucky because the man that found me is a foster and well here I am safe and looking for a new family. My foster mom and dad adore me but the want to save more dogs just like me so I need you. I am a great dog! I am house broken, I do not need a crate, I am the perfect energy level and I love other dogs, cats and I will protect your children from all harm. I love children, they like to play and always give me treats. Did I mention how much I love treats? Are your feet cold? if so I will snuggle them for you if you want me to. I love to snuggle and get lots of belly rubs. Did I mention how much I love treats? I also love going for car rides. See I am perfect so please visit www.soardoggyrescue.org to fill out an application for me. Love, Highway (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-11-03-00239Molly (female)
Are you looking for a loyal and true best friend, never too busy to cuddle? Meet Molly; a 6 yr. old female Rottweiler Mix who was abandoned at an animal shelter near Winston Salem, NC. Molly had been severely neglected; in addition to being sick with various illnesses, she was emaciated and heartworm positive. Molly's time was up that day. Her condition and appearance made her unadoptable, and the shelter was out of room; sadly, she found herself first on 'The List.' Molly was only hours from being euthanized when SSRR rescued her. Life has changed for this very sweet, loving girl. Molly loves being taken care of by her Foster Dad. He plays fetch with her, and she gets lots of love and attention. Her favorite position is cuddling while they watch ball games together... and she never talks during the kickoff or important plays!! Molly just loves hanging out with her human! Molly is a survivor! She has been treated for heartworms, spayed, and is now healthy and ready for her forever home and family. She is house-trained and crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Molly has been through so much at the hands of those she had trusted to take care of her; yet, she is very friendly to everyone and loves to give kisses. Despite her past, Molly still loves people and wants her very own family. This sweetheart will melt your heart the moment you meet her. If you want unconditional love, this little lady is your match. Molly does well with children and male dogs (when introduced slowly); no cats. A fenced yard is a requirement; no underground fencing. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-31-00079Sammie (male)
Sammie, or as we call her, Sam, is a spirited girl at 16 months old. She's made great strides in a year, from being scared of everything to being more interested in the big world. She's a happy, loving girl who loves to play and run with her dog companions. She likes having a companion dog to go outside with and rough and tumble with. She has become the typical teenager, talking back to her humans when she feels she has something to say. Her 'roo-roos' are comical and it's hard not to laugh at her vocalizations. She also likes to grab you with her paw to get your attention, meaning she's trying to tell you something. Sam has been learning manners and sits nicely, making eye contact, for her meals and treats. Still in need of some leash training, she wants to pull and wander a bit on walks. She likes her walks, and rides in the car quite nicely. Still a bit shy in meeting strangers, she will warm up to them if they offer her a treat. Sam is house trained and kennel trained and is quite willing to go into her kennel with just a 'kennel up' command, but she really likes a peanut butter stuffed Kong, too. She weighs 48 pounds and will probably not get any bigger. She does well with small and large dogs and, though still interested in cats, does not hurt them other than to want to mouth them. A simple 'leave it' command works to curb her interest. Sam is well-mannered and has learned many commands. All she needs now is someone to call her own. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Tennessee
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
