Kota is a great dog! I love him very much but he has trouble with our livestock and has bitten a goat. He really needs someone who can devote more one on one time with him than I can. I have never given a dog up for adoption so I only want him to go to a better home than I can provide. Please ask me any questions you might have about him.

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-16-00175Girl Puppies (female)
In this litter of adorable, fluffy babies we still have 3 girls. Mama is a shepherd mix and there are 2 daddy's. One is a purebred Rotti and the other is a Rotti / Chow. Most of the puppies clearly have the Rotti / Chow daddy. All are very sweet tempered pups that have been raised with children. Four of the puppies have played, slept and eaten with kitties every day. All puppies are very affectionate with all people, too. They will be approx 65-70lbs when full grown so must have a fenced backyard. Another dog and cat in the home would be ideal. Children must be over 6yrs old. The 500 adoption fee includes all 5 first year vaccines, microchip, worming series and spay / neuter surgery at our vet when they are old enough. Please contact us for an application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-11-00640Niko (male)
Meet Niko.... 85lbs of silly fun. The darling 4.5yr old boy is always happy and looking for someone to play with... could be kids, adults or any other dogs. He loves to go on easy walks... and is always up for a good run, too. Even a long, scenic car ride will suit him. Niko is a wonderfully balanced guy that knows when indoors it's time to just hang out... and outdoors is all about activity. Niko must have a fenced backyard and because of his size, kids must be over 10yrs old. NO cats for this boy. Although he gets along great with other dogs, he does not need another in the home.

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-04-00020Sunny Boy (male)
Sunny came in as a stray. He is very interested in chasing the cats and the other farm animals here! He would be better suited for a family with a large fenced yard and supervised/leashed activities outside the yard! He seems house trained and is great on his leash. He loads up in the car and likes to ride. He does bark when people drive up, but he is currently in a kennel near another dog who also bark, so he may not bark to alert on his own. Super nice dog!

Animal ID: 53475Adeline (female)
Meet Adeline! This lovely Shepherd/Rottweiler mix is approx. 5 years old, and is ready for her forever home! Adeline is a very sweet girl who can take some time to warm up to new people and places. Once she trusts you, she is very affectionate and gentle, but she also likes to have fun and play. Adeline is a smart dog, who already knows some commands such as 'sit', and is very food-motivated, so she would probably be the star student if her adopter took her to obedience class! She takes treats very gently, and also walks great on a leash. When Adeline barks, it can sound like she is a tough cookie, but don't let that fool you; her big bark belies her kind nature. Do you want to find out more about this big, beautiful girl? Ask how you can adopt Adeline today! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-20-00654Nala (female)
Hi! My name is Nala and I am looking for a home of my own. You see, I once had a family and home to call my own, until a thing called foreclosure happened, and my family couldn't take me with them. So here I am. I am currently safe in the rescue, which is nice and comfortable, but I sure would prefer a home and a family to call my own. Valhalla Rescue is going to help me find my forever home. Don't let my age fool you. I LOVE to run around and play Frisbee. If you are active and you can keep up with me, we just might be a great match. I would love someone to run with and tire me out. I must admit I like running the show. I am a little bit bossy, but I really love to please humans so if you are willing to help socialize me and help me understand I don't always need to be the Alpha, you might be the person for me. I tend to be pushy and selective with other dogs, and I do not like pitbulls for some reason. I am not good with cats either, I just want to chase and bite them. As far as those small humans go, I would be best with kids age 10 and older, only because I tend to jump up when I'm excited and might knock them over. I am housetrained, and learning that being in a crate sometimes is not so bad. I am spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $150. If you think you might have the right home for me, please visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at www.valhallarescue.org/ourdogs/adoptable and fill out an adoption application. My adoption fee allows Valhalla Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs like me while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the shelter, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes. THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE LIFE OF A RESCUE DOG!!! MORE ABOUT NALA (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Washington
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
