Rescue Me ID: 14-11-13-00256Dylan (male)
Darling Dylan! If this boy were human, he'd be the life of the party! Dylan is a very sweet, goofy 4yr old, 75lb boy that still acts like a puppy (selective hearing when given the 'come' command). If he doesn't want to come inside when called, he'll either run or lay on his back and cover his eyes with his paws... he's such a goof! Dylan is great with other female dogs, both large and small but is not particularly interested in having a male buddy. He's great with kids but because of his size and wiggly, goofy nature, children over 12 would be best. He must have a securely fenced backyard in which to romp and play. He love to go for walks and hiking, and he especially LOVES the water. NO cats for this boy. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-26-00169Maddie (female)
Maddie, like most Blue Heelers, is a very loving and high energy dog who requires lots of exercise. She is extremely intelligent, loyal and loves to play frisbee and fetch. Maddie gets along fine with most dogs but would be happiest as a single family dog. Maddie will not try to eat cats, but she will chase them. Maddie would do well with a very active family that can take her running, swimming or hiking regularly and is willing to put in lots of training time. When Maddie was a puppy she hurt her knee while playing fetch and was not treated for the injury. It slows her down a little but she gets along fine. If you are interested in learning more about Maddie and why she needs a new home please contact me. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-11-00004Billy (male)
Billy needs a great home with room to run and play. He is a wonderful dog! Gets along really well with cats and dogs. He does get anxious when there are a lot of people around (6 is pretty much his limit) especially when there is another dog there. Right now he is in an only pet home. Billy is also not good with men who have a lot of facial hair and glasses, it took him quite a while to warm up to my grandfather. He is so loving and all he wants to do is play! Great with kids. Even when they crawl over him or tugs on his tail (my nephew was two, but he knows better now) so no worries there. HIs back is about three feet high, definitely a sizable dog. He is also very sensitive about his paws, he absolutely does not like getting his nails clipped. Doesn't like being left alone and has separation anxiety, so he will bark and whine. He is not destructive, just vocal. Wherever he goes, he will go with two bags of food. Please call/email with any questions! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-04-00576Molly (female)
Little Miss Molly... this adorable girl weighs approx 40-45lbs and is approx 3.5yrs old... and what a doll!! According to the DNA test (of which we have copies), this little girl is an interesting mix of Rotti and Italian Greyhound... with a couple of other breeds in her far off ancestry thrown in. Molly loves to run and play fetch, and she absolutely loves the water. She's also very sweet and cuddly and loves people. She's often nervous when meeting new dogs so calm, controlled introductions are necessary. Once she realizes the other dog just wants to play, she loves to join in. Molly is a very nice girl that already knows some basic commands and she's quickly learning more. She will thrive in a home that has a big backyard in which to play with the kids and another medium energy, like size or larger dog... but no cats for this girl! She's very quiet and shares her toys/food/treats willingly with the other dogs. She loves to take long walks, jogs, go camping and have lots of lake or beach outings. That is, unless you have a pool in which she can play! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in Washington
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
