Hello, my name is Lawdie and I am an older adult male Rottweiler looking for a new family to love and care for me. I lived with my previous owner my entire life and was surrendered when one of my owners passed away and the other is out of town for work a lot. I have lived with a female dog before, but need a home free of fowl and kitties. I am housebroken and will tap at the door or do a 'happy dance' to let you know I have to go outside. I love attention and treats, but don't like to share my treats or toys so will need a home with older or no kids who can respect my space when I'm enjoying delicious things. I can get excited when people ... (Read More)come home or we have visitors, but I calm down quickly. I love hanging out with my family and am content to be right by your side. As an older gentleman I do have some arthritis in my hind end that makes me pretty uncomfortable so I'll need a dedicated, loving owner who can keep me on joint supplements and follow up with their vet about possible pain meds as I get older. If you have room in your heart and home for a big boy, please come meet me today! (Less)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Nala and I am looking for a home of my own. You see, I once had a family and home to call my own, until a thing called foreclosure happened, and my family couldn't take me with them. So here I am. I am currently safe in the rescue, which is nice and comfortable, but I sure would prefer a home and a family to call my own. Valhalla Rescue is going to help me find my forever home. Don't let my age fool you. I LOVE to run around and play Frisbee. If you are active and you can keep up with me, we just might be a great match. I would love someone to run with and tire me out. I must admit I like running the show. I am a little bit ... (Read More)bossy, but I really love to please humans so if you are willing to help socialize me and help me understand I don't always need to be the Alpha, you might be the person for me. I tend to be pushy and selective with other dogs, and I do not like pitbulls for some reason. I am not good with cats either, I just want to chase and bite them. As far as those small humans go, I would be best with kids age 10 and older, only because I tend to jump up when I'm excited and might knock them over. I am housetrained, and learning that being in a crate sometimes is not so bad. I am spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $150. If you think you might have the right home for me, please visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at www.valhallarescue.org/ourdogs/adoptable and fill out an adoption application. My adoption fee allows Valhalla Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs like me while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the shelter, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes.
