Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Jax is a very friendly dog. He is a rottweiler/blue tick mix and is approximately 9 months in age. He is neutered and has had a full blood panel. He did test positive for lymes disease. He is great with my kids and my other household animals but has killed a goat and attacked my pig. He is NOT good with livestock. He showed up at my farm one day about three months ago. He original owners contacted us after we had him fixed and vaccinated. They said they just let him run loose because that is what he likes to do and have let him do it since he was a little puppy. He will run off unless he is fenced in with a high fence. He will not ... (Read More)stay tied out and will get out of his collar if attempted. He would make a great family dog but cannot live on a farm. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rottweiler in West Virginia
Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in West Virginia if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
