After three weeks of searching for a home for this beautiful girl, I stumbled upon Rescue Me and posted her information. I was contacted within a day of posting and was blessed with a forever home for her. I was also contacted by several other people interested, but had already committed to the first home. I'm so thankful to this site for their help in getting her information out. I'm not sure I could've done it without you!! Thank you!!

Thank you, Rescue Me. Zeeah has come to our home and brought much happiness. After losing our female Rott, Vendy (to cancer), there was a huge void in our hearts and family. Zeeah is so sweet and snuggly. She has buffered our loss and brought us much joy and laughter with her silly antics of laying on her back and wiggling. We love her and she will be with us FOREVER.

Well, I must say that my long-time friend and brother, who is now in heaven, must be happy that so many individuals such as himself have the love and time to offer the puppies I posted on Rescue Me for adoption. I was inundated with calls from all over the state. I have just one dog left (momma) and hopefully someone will be her next loving companion. I was there for the birthing of the puppies, and held each so many times. It hurts to know they're gone, but glad they are being loved by those that can devote the required time to make them great. Thanks to all who called and special thanks to Jeff Gold for the formation of this site, and his love of Rotties and all the other breeds that offer mankind the ability to know what unconditional love, devotion and companionship a well treated dog can bring.

Thanks, Rescue Me! We had an almost immediate response from a fabulous person. We met halfway between our communities and made the transfer. 'Hannah' now lives in her forever home with an older male Rottweiler companion. A wonderful success story!

Rescue Me was a lifesaver for me. My dog Bubba has found a new forever home with help from your website. I never thought I would have found myself in the position to have to give up my dog, I was devasted. The one thing I did know was I wanted to make sure I found him the best possible home and give him the things I no longer could. Your website allowed me that opportunity. I loved that people searching for dogs could search by breed, as my dog is very large and most people thought he was intimidating when in reality he just wants to be a big lap dog. The family that adopted him was the perfect fit. They had Rottweilers in the past and knew what to expect. We corresponded via email several times and then met in person at a local park so I could see how Bubba interacted with them. By the end of the meeting, Bubba was giving David kisses on the cheek and that's when I knew it was going to be okay. Because this family knew my story, they understood how difficult this has been for me and have emailed me frequently since his adoption to let me know he is doing well and making himself at home. Thank you Jeff for creating such a wonderful website. In the future when I am ready, I will be sure to use your website to make my new home a forever home for a new dog in need. Sincerely, Amy

I cannot believe what has happened. After two hours of posting this poor baby to your site, he has been adopted. You have provided such a wonderful service and I am so grateful. The people who have taken him are a foundation called Katy's Promise that finds homes for Rotts. They are going to evaluate him on his social skills and take him to the vet to make sure he is up on all his shots. They also screen out families to make sure they are good homes and serious about having a family member and not a fighting dog. These ladies already have a family who has met all their criteria and have adopted another dog through these ladies. This family has expressed a desire to have another one and have already been contacted about this guy. My heart soars over him going to the right kind of home. He deserves one! Thank you, Lord, for these ladies!

I was contacted pretty quickly after posting on Rescue Me. A gentleman with 5 acres of fenced property in the country who had lost his Rottie to old age (14 years) was interested. We met him and Hoss was on his way to his new home. I miss him, but felt it was a really good home for him. He is going to get another dog to keep Hoss company.

Thank you so much for keeping Rescue Me active. I post purebred and difficult to place shelter dogs on your site and have received much success. The latest success story is Mo, a 7-year old Rottweiler who entered the shelter with heartworms, but was treated and is very healthy now. We had four leads for him from Rescue Me and one adopted him recently. It was a perfect, breed-experienced family! Thank you again for allowing us to post.

I posted a Rudy's picture and a brief description of her last Wednesday for my father-in-law who is currently battling lung cancer. Due to his current health and financial situation, he could no longer afford to keep all three of his Rottweilers. Unfortunately, Rudy was the one that he had to find a new home for because she had a history of aggression with other female Rottweilers, including his other female named Annie and our Rottweiler named Daytona (we actually live right next door to my father-in-law). It felt like we constantly had to play 'musical dogs' as I called it when one of them was outside the other ones had to be inside and we were always in this constant state of alert to make sure that none of them got into a fight with each other. However, Rudy has been always perfectly fine around my father-in-law's male Rottweiler named JJ. So when I posted her picture on Rescue Me with a brief description of her, I was completely honest that she had a history of aggression and that she couldn't be in a home with other female dogs, and preferably no small dogs or really small children just to be on the safe side. I wasn't sure if anyone would even be interested in taking on a dog like Rudy with a history of aggression like this and also considering the fact that she was already somewhere between four to five years old and she might already be pretty set in her ways and it might be hard for anyone to try to correct this behavior since she was no longer a puppy. Well, luckily, someone contacted me this past Friday (within two days of my post on this website) and they said if we still had her then they could come get her the very next day and now the rest is history!!! Rudy went to a new home about an hour and a half away and she now lives out in the country on several acres of land so she has plenty of room to run around and play!!! She has a new human sister who is 10 years old and I hear that they are already pretty attached to each other and they do also happen to have one other dog which is a male Jack Russell Terrier. I told them to just introduce them slowly to one another and just be cautious whenever they are playing with each other since he is much smaller than she is, but I think overall they should be fine with each other at least since he is a male dog. Also, her new owner said she absolutely loves riding around all the time in his truck with him!!! I'm so happy that Rudy was able to find her new FUREVER home and I'm so thankful that a website like Rescue Me even exists to help make all of this even possible!!!

We adopted a wonderful boy named Stosh! We had two Rottweilers over the last eight years and one of our beloved girls passed away. I'm not sure who was more distraught, me or her sister. After much searching, I came across this wonderful website. Stosh was posted by his owners, who had owned him since he was a puppy. They needed to rehome him because of condo living. After many emails back and forth, we decided that our families were a good fit. They drove him three hours to us! He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He has almost three acres to run and an elderly big sister to keep him in line and show him the ropes!! He is already bonded with our sons and follows them everywhere! Rescue Me is a great website and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an awesome pet!

I posted Ripley and instantly had numerous interested parties. We took her to meet a family that already had a five year old male purebred Rottweiler. They got along great. We went back a week later just to see how everything went a second time and it was just as successful if not better than the first visit. We left Ripley with her new family that day! I have gotten texts and pictures over the past month showing how happy she is and how well she is adjusting. Thank you so much for the opportunity to use Rescue Me to find her a new home with a family that has the free time to give her the attention she deserves!

It was hard to come to terms with, but after rescuing princess, I had to consider re-homing her, because she was going to need a lot more than I could provide. Luckily, I found Rottweiler Rescue Me, and she is probably in the place that was meant for her. She has new dog friends, a big yard to play in, and a super loving owner who has experience with the breed and has the much needed time to spend training her properly. Thanks, Rottweiler Rescue Me and Nona. -Rob

Ace was adopted by a young family with five children. They met him at Petsmart where everyone there stopped to pet Ace and rub his belly which he showed to everyone! Everyone in the family loved him and vice versa. When they got him home (after a four hour drive) Ace acted like he lived with them his whole life and ran from room to room as if saying, 'I'm Home!!!!' Ace will benefit from all the activity. YEA!!! Happy ending for this boy and a big thanks goes to Rescue Me!!!!

I posted Casper to Rescue Me just a couple short weeks ago. I wanted to be careful and particular in whom he was placed with, especially after coming into contact with unreliable people on a different website. Luckily, within just a few days, I had received quite a few e-mails from interested, genuine families! Thankfully, he has found a wonderful furever home that absolutely adores him! I'm so overwhelmed with happiness that Casper and I were given this opportunity. Thank you!

Greetings to all animal lovers! I recently adopted a Rottie name Chef. He has brought so much joy into our lives. My Rottie, Nikki, and I wanted for quite some time now to adopt another family member. But time schedules seem to get in the way, but while viewing the Rescue Me site, I saw Chef and I immediately knew he was the missing link to our life. She is so happy. I watch them sleep in each others arms as though they were always in each others lives. Thank you for the opportunity to add a great new family member to our lives.

Rescue Me rescued more than just Rosie the Rottweiler. We did not want Rosie to leave us, but knew that with the dramatic shift our lives had taken we were no longer providing the attention she needed. We attempted to look for a forever home for her previously, but there weren't any good fits and we were having a very difficult time with the idea of giving her up for adoption. We tried Rescue Me and the right family did arrive - a strong and lovely family with an energetic 10 year old boy. Even the Grannies showed up to meet Rosie; and although we still grieve her departure, we are consoled by the fact she is indeed in a better place surrounded by an extended, loving family and a boy to whom she will be loyally attached. Thank you!

We were moving to a senior complex that did not allow large dogs. Gretchen is a gorgeous family Rottweiler who our kids and our grandkids love her. We were devastated. We asked through family, friends, tried Facebook, posted at work and were getting nowhere. We posted on Rescue Me on Wednesday and got two very interested responses by Thursday. By Saturday we drove to meet her possible new owner who also had a Border Collie. Upon meeting, the two dogs got along beautifully and the owner explained how she used to have a Rottweiler and how she loved the breed. Unfortunately, her 'Rottie' died and her Border Collie, Maggie, was missing a playmate. Well, after an hour and a half of romping and playing together the two, new friends hopped in the car together. After several tears shed and a fond farewell, our sweet girl was off to a new life. That same evening I mentioned several times I wondered how Gretchen was doing. Just before we turned off the lights, my husband checked email and there was a kind note from Gretchen's new mom about how she was doing. She very thoughtfully sent four pictures of Gretchen and Maggie together in her home. She again told us to feel free to come up and visit anytime. For us, this was a wonderful conclusion because we know Gretchen is being loved by a generous family and although we miss her we are happy for her new life.

I place our Rottweiler on the Rescue Me site. I received several inquires from people within 75 miles of our home, to as far away as the State of New York. To be honest, most of the people who inquired did not follow up when I responded. I realized when I spoke with some of the people about my Rottweiler, VooDoo, in detail, that they would not meet Voo Doo's needs. One was leaving on a two-week trip and would call back when she returned to see if VooDoo was still available, as she was seriously interested, but understood if he was taken in the meantime. I also had another, who was still possibly considering VooDoo. However, last week, just what I was looking for happened! A couple who live close by came to see VooDoo; and the couple and VooDoo were mutually receptive to one another. These people were the perfect couple. I could see they were going to spoil VooDoo, love him, care for him, spend a lot of time with him, had 7 acres of land for him to roam and investigate, he would live indoors with them (not on a chain or in a kennel outside), and, as an added bonus, there was a female pit bull that he was very excited to see when he met her at his new home today! I am very grateful for your Rescue Me site, as I had tried 'word of mouth' and posting his picture at the vet's office, which brought only two responses in two months, both of which the people said they wanted VooDoo, and then never showed up to get him. I refused to put him on Craig's List or other listings as such, as I didn't want to chance VooDoo getting into the 'wrong hands'. A friend had recommended your site, and I am so glad that I posted VooDoo on it. Instead of being in knots and crying myself to sleep tonight, I am sad, but at the same time, I feel I have found him a good home with good people and people that are going to love him as much as my brother (whose dog it was to begin with before he died unexpectedly in 2013) and I. They have already offered for me to visit any time I want, that if when they went away, I could have him while they were gone, and if he passed away, they would give me his ashes. (I have my brother's ashes; and I had left room in his urn, so when VooDoo died, I could place VooDoo's ashes in with my brother's and they would be buried together in the family plot.) So, I think I found the right people! He needed a bath when we took him and apologized. Within 2 hours, they had him in their bathtub (!) plus, he's all set up to sleep in their master bedroom tonight! I haven't really lost my sweet dog, I've made new friends!

Rocko was rescued by my deceased husband two years ago. He was so emancipated that he almost died. There is not a mean bone in his body, but he was tied out his whole life. Just because he was a Rottweiler, he was not trusted. He now weighs around 175 pounds. Before my husband passed away, he asked me to find Rocko a home with a fenced yard. He wanted him to be loved and cared for. A woman who always loved Rocko's breed saw him and fell in love with him. I let this family adopt Rocko. Thank you so much, Rescue Me, for your compassion and care you have for dogs. I highly recommend you. God Bless.

OH MY! Our whole family (grown children and grandchildren and all that come with them!) have embraced the joy of adding Dolche into the mix! She has welcomed everyone (even the cat!) into her heart! She absolutely LOVES her new backyard, although it took her a day to realize it was all hers! The family has gotten used to locking the gate behind them to go to the person's yard too! Her training has been integral in transitioning her into her new home. Thanks C for caring for her so well!! She has lots of friends to play with as two of the grown kids with kids have dogs! We are so fortunate to have found her thanks to Rescue Me's notification program! We have rescued a Rottie before and she brought us great happiness in the 11 years she was with us! So glad we have the opportunity again to share our family and love with another sweet one. And the name fits!!! Dolche!! Our sweet baby!! We will nurture, care, and love her always!!

I was browsing for the first time on this site this afternoon, and within 20 minutes I received a response from someone who was trying to find a home for their Rottweiler. Within a few hours, we met in person and were able to see how this lovely girl was going to get along in our household. I am happy to say that the owners decided to choose us to be Sophie's new 'forever home'! I have always wanted a Rottweiler, and this wish of mine has (finally!) come true thanks to Rescue Me! With a plethora of appreciation, Rae

I rescued Coco (baby Rottweiler) from street people who wanted to sell her. She was so cute and loving but I already have three dogs and one Jack Russell was quite aggressive to the puppy. I posted on Tuesday evening and got calls on Wednesday. Went out and met the new owners of the pup and found them to be very suitable. Had this baby for a week and a half and just loved her but could not keep her. She has a fantastic home now and for that I am very grateful. Rescue me is a fantastic service and I will support them with a donation as they need to be up and running.

Katie looked like a small Rottweiler, but was not. Her markings made her look like she had plenty of 'Rottie' in her. A wonderful family called, came to my home, and adopted her. Once she saw the family (dad, mom, four children between the ages of seven and fifteen, approximately) she bonded instantly and ran around so excitedly in order spread her affections around. She was so happy and did not respond to me anymore! It was as if she was telling me, 'thanks, but I am going home with these folks!' As they left with her, I expected to feel some sadness as I had been caring for Katie for several months and, as we do, fell in love with her. But when I saw her happiness with the family (and theirs with her) my heart felt an overwhelming sense that I had done the right thing in posting here on your website. I was unable to keep Katie. I inherited her as a result of an extremely ill daughter who was deep into canine rescue. I have two small dogs of my own (both rescues), am 75 years old, have Parkinson's Disease, and could not keep up with her energy level. I wanted her to have a family - and we found one! Thanks to Rescue Me!

I was devastated when my dog died suddenly of bloat. I owed so much on her surgery and with the prices some rescues charge, I feared I would never find another pet. But I KNEW the second I saw Macy on this site that she would be mine. I went to the shelter where all the dogs ignored me and I couldn't find her. Then I went outside... As I approached, she stood up and pawed at me to come over! Kisses and cuddles ensued! We were both HOME! Thank you Rescue Me.

We were looking for another Rottweiler for some time since our guy (Fluffy) is six years old. We wanted him to show a youngster the ropes. I found the site Rescue Me and, within a month, we found our new young adult dog who bonded immediately with our family. 'Fluffy' could not believe that his own image did not look like a Jack Russell, he was so happy to see a face similar to his although he truly loves his Jack Russell brother Dobby, he now has a friend his own size that looks just like him. Upon everyone meeting our cat 'Peeves' brushed up and shared his friendliness, and off they all went to go sniff and explore together. The previous owners were awesome and live an hour away, such a bittersweet parting, but they have an open invitation to come visit their dog at any time. We truly love him and his character is amazing, he wants to please and try's so hard to be like 'Fluffy' who is obedient, loving, socialized and well trained. We feel blessed with having this wonderful site, Rescue Me, and will tell everyone looking for or placing a dog.

Reba wandered onto the playground of my grandson's school during a field day. She was emaciated and covered with ticks and fleas and was nearly starved to death, only searching for some food. I tossed her bits of hot dog and lured her into my Jeep and took her home to my sons in law's farm, much to their objection. She weighed only 36 pounds, less than half the weight of a full grown Rottie. But I held onto her and began trying to get her weight up and debugged her. A month later, I discovered she was not gaining weight because she was pregnant and within weeks she gave birth to ten healthy puppies. She was still severely underweight so I had to wean the pups at seven weeks if she was to survive. I found great homes for all the puppies and Reba finally began to heal and pick up weight. Today, two years later, Reba is a whopping 80 pounds and looking good and has proved herself a valuable guard dog and loyal friend. Anthony has adopted Reba and now we are currently researching transport methods for her. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. She is a beautiful Rottie and will make Anthony a loyal buddy and protector. Thank you, Rescue Me.

I was thrilled to get so some many inquires on my sweet Rottweiler, Emma. It was very convenient for people to either call or email. Thanks to Rescue Me, Emma found her new loving home. I know she will have the best doggie life ever, and I even get to stay in touch with the family! One day, when I am ready, I will absolutely use Rescue Me to find my new four legged companion.

I lost my Rottweiler due to cancer. I was looking to adopt a Rottweiler about two years after losing my dog. I saw the post that Poppy needed a home, because the owner was going to put her down. She could no longer keep the Rottweiler, so I saw this beautiful dog and decided she would be mine. Because of your Rescue Me website, I now have my beautiful Rottweiler, family pet, and a lifetime of love. I would definitely recommend your website for anybody who is looking to adopt.

I am very pleased with Rescue Me! I rescued five Rottweiler mix puppies that were abandoned by the mom when they were 1 week old. When it was time to start finding homes for them, I started to do research with local entities to see what was the best option. What I found out was shocking and very sad. They only had an 11% survival rate at local shelters. I was not happy with that, and, of course, I was not going to let them go to just anyone. I did more research and found Rescue Me! I loved it from the start. The website is so user friendly, and it was so easy to upload the pictures. The design tool is awesome. I found a great family for my first puppy within the first week of posting him, and I was so excited that I decided to post the rest of them. I'm so happy to say that within three weeks all of my puppies found good, loving 'furever' homes with great families. Thanks so much for all you do for all of our furry brothers and sisters.

Thanks to Rescue Me, Chevelle's post was seen by his previous owner, who jumped at the opportunity of having him back. Since she's known him since birth, she feels confident that she will be able to get to the root of what's bothering him and correct his aggressive behavior. We are so thankful your site was available and allowed us to place him in the perfect home. Chevelle is a great dog and deserves another chance. He honestly was just days away from being put down. Thank you for helping us with Chevelle.

We adopted Deebo about two weeks ago. What an awesome addition to our family! He has no fences or small enclosed spaces any more. Deebo has a couple new best friends, Zeus and Bet Bet. Zeus is my Rott that was looking for a buddy that could keep up with him and play the way he likes to play and Bet Bet is the lil neighbor girl who comes and visits regularly. We like walking around in the snow and going to the off-leash park for exercise. I couldn't be happier with him! He is the perfect fit! He has made the transition from city slicker to mountain man effortlessly. I thank his old family for giving us this opportunity, Deebo is loved and well cared for and seems to be very happy!

Tiger was rejected by his family of twelve years (since puppyhood) because the owner that loved him died and the spouse wanted to travel. He was adopted by a homeless man for five months who abandoned him on the street. No one wanted to adopt him because of his age, but, a retired couple decided a 'turn key' dog was perfect. He was potty trained, didn't jump on furniture, counters or people, didn't chew up anything but rawhides, and was calm, but had a lot of life. He was strong and healthy and you might think he was only about five years old. Tiger is really smart and has a funny personality. So, his new mom and dad took him to their ranch, where he gets three walks a day, and has a new best friend dog that visits a lot. His new family is thrilled with him because he's a happy, good natured guy that didn't need training or had to grow out of that excitable stage. And they take him with them on trips because he's well behaved. Please consider a senior dog because they are so easy and, for a retiree, no worries that the dog may outlive you.

When we decided that Primo had to find a new home it was very difficult for us to determine how to get this news out to the world. A friend of ours referred us to Rescue Me! and we immediately posted the information. We began receiving calls from all over the state, and surrounding states, asking about Primo and making appointments to meet him. Several families came from cities over a hundred miles away, and we were so grateful that we used this wonderful environment to find Primo a home. A very lovely family adopted Primo, and I am sure that he will be well taken care of and happy. We found the Rescue Me! website to be intuitive and easy to use. I will certainly recommend this to anyone seeking help in adopting out their pets. Thank you for the help and assistance this provides to all of us, we will be forever indebted to your organization.

Thanks to Rescue Me!, my girl has found a new loving family. With only one day left before I would have had to take her to a shelter, her new family said they wanted her. Although giving her up is not what I wanted to do, it was the right thing for my girl. Please think of what these animals need, and if you cant provide it, find the strength to let go and let them have the life they deserve. Doing the right thing is never easy. Thank you so much Rescue Me!, and thank you to her new family. I will never stop loving my girl, and love her enough to know I had to let her go. Torrie's Dad

We own a male rottweiler 17 months old named Slate. His partner, China, our 12-year old Shih Tzu who raised him as momma had just passed on. So Slate was lonely, with us we know what amazing beautiful creatures Rotties are. They hold a special place in our hearts. They are the gentlest, most loyal creatures on this earth. We found Harley's post on Rescue Me! and chose her. She is the sweetest girl you could ask for. We are so thankful for this site and the mission the folks here have taken on. It breaks my heart that so many of these animals are neglected and misunderstood. Harley had a rough start in this world and had an amazing man adopt her. Mr. Mike truly loved her. He is a military man who was deploying to Afghanistan. We know it broke his and Harley's hearts to part ways, but we are so thankful that he adopted her and in turn entrusted her with us. Thank you Mr. Mike and thank you, Rescue Me! If I could I would adopt all of these animals. Thank you, Harley, we love you so much!
