Thanks to Rescue Me, I was able to locate and adopt a sweet, three year old female, spayed, house trained and vaccinated Rottie. While her social skills are lacking, she's learning to walk nicely without attacking passing cars as well as calmly accept other dogs walking with their owners. Her hind legs are malformed and muscles atrophied beyond repair, however our calm, easy walks have shown improvement in her stride and endurance. She quickly learned to stay off the furniture. She is eager and happy to please us... The very Rottweiler trait we missed when we lost our last wonderful boy in 2001. I'm seriously thinking of adding another male if and when I find a calm, sweet accepting (other dogs, kids, people) boy in need of a great, forever home. Because I enjoy including my dogs in travel, visits to family and friends with dogs and public walks, a diplomatic disposition is vital. Thank you again for all your effort helping find forever homes for these wonderful babies.

I posted my Rottweiler for adoption and had several inquiries. After talking to several people, I was VERY happy with a couple that actually live within 10 minutes of my home! I was so impressed and happy with Mike and Michelle that, even though I shed some tears, I know that this was meant to be. Thor loved them and they loved him. I know that I couldn't have asked for a better fit. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I am very happy with this site. It was very user friendly. I had five people respond to my post, and the very first folks who responded ended up being the perfect fit for our dog. I was helping a friend out who has some health issues so could no longer keep the dog. The couple who adopted her have another dog that will be a perfect companion for our dog, and they offer a loving, stable home. I am thrilled and the owner is sad to have to give up his dog, but very relieved to have her in a perfect home. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Rescue Me helped us fill the void in our lives after losing our last Rottie to cancer. We found 'Bear' on Rescue Me and he couldn't be better! The contact person answered our email in a timely manner. We communicated back and forth several times to make sure that we were the right fit for 'Bear' and that he was the right fit for us. When we went to pick him up, we spent more than an hour with him - letting us all get to know each other. It was, and continues to be a WONDERFUL experience. We will look to Rescue Me when we are ready to adopt a companion Rottweiler. Thank You!

I put my dog, Bronx, up for adoption. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. With Rescue Me, I was able to find Bronx a forever home with the perfect home in less than a week. Through the website, I was able to meet the family and let Bronx meet their dogs and see the surroundings. Thank you Rescue Me for taking an uncomfortable situation and giving it a fairy tale ending!

It has been great working with Rescue Me. Their reach is far and very professional. I was getting calls from everywhere that were willing to see Hannah. They made sure to follow up with me and took me off the list quickly when they found out Hannah was adopted. Thank you Rescue Me! I will definitely use you next time, but hopefully there will not have to be a next time and people will keep and love their animals.

I am so thankful for the Rescue Me network. Not only did we find a wonderful dog for us, but later saved one from a shelter, fostered and now found him a permanent home through this site. Upon posting our foster, Maximus, we had several contacts right away. It was nice to have a choice as to his welfare. Where people can be screened and questions asked with more detail than when the dog is picked up at the pound. Thank you Mr. Gold for creating this resource. We will be using it again! Keep up the good work!

I looked on Rescue Me and found the dog of my dreams. I sent a message to the contact person and she replied the very next day. We talk and text several times that day and the next. Two days later we met and I got my dog. I have a friend that is looking for a Rottweiler as well, and I recommended that they look at this site rather than to purchase from a breeder and give one of these dogs a second chance to have a great life with a loving family. I don't use credit or debit cards, but I will be sending a donation is the form of a money order. I really appreciate this site and the people that post to it and the ones that adopt from it. If I wasn't a truck driver and had a large area, I would adopt several.

We took over the responsibility of Buddy when he was abandoned, and found him to be one of the most loving and sweetest dogs I have ever experienced. We were referred to Rescue Me by my daughter, and posted Buddy's story on the website. We were amazed at the number of respondents to our post that we received in a matter of one week. The family that adopted him contacted us via the website. So, we were very pleased and satisfied with the Rescue Me website. Thank you.

We purchased an amazing, beautiful Rottweiler as a pup only to find out a little more than a year later our autistic son was allergic. We tried posting her on Craigslist and instantly I was being judged for being an awful parent and dog owner. I then learned of your site and placed her for adoption. Within 24 hours, the emails started coming in. After sorting through we came across a wonderful woman by the name of Julie. Today, I spent five hours in my vehicle to bring our sweet girl to a farm where Julie awaited our arrival with her other fur babies and even horses. Instantly, there was a bond between Cookie (our Rottie) and Julie and her animals!!! I couldn't be happier with the decision we made for Cookie and our family as well. People are placed in your lives for a reason and God saw fit for Cookie to be added to Julie's family. Thank you Rescue Me! And thank you Julie!

Thank you Rescue Me! Our sweet Rottle was adopted by a loving perfect couple. Within a few weeks, I had two people contact me. The first one didn't work out. I believe things happen for reasons. He is now living on two and a half acres and with a dear sweet lady who says he follows her around like a toddler. Soon, he will be playing with their other dog once they get to know each other. It was such a hard thing to look for a new home for him, but the best for all of us. We miss you puppy but are so glad you found a GREAT home. Thank you Rescue Me. I will tell all my friends and family about you. What a great site and will try to get donations for you. You don't even know how much you helped me.

After three months of trying to find a home for this sweet Rottie that was hit by a car in front of my house, Rescue Me led to her sweet new owner, Anna.      My big ol' 120lb' baby bear', Nero, was adopted this past Saturday. Though it was a hard decision to let him go, he is now with a family who I believe will love and spoil him. I have received several updates from the new family; and they report that Nero has adjusted well to their three small children, to them (the adults) and to his new home. He is kept indoors; but has a big front and back yard; plus two 'playing fields' a pond and lots of other accommodations. He is almost five years old; so I was concerned that it would be difficult to find someone to adopt him. I am so grateful to the Rescue Me site for allowing me the opportunity to post his information. I received numerous inquires about him from those who viewed him on the site and was able to screen potential adopters to find the a family that I felt would be suitable for him. Also, the website was easy to navigate. Thank you so much for what you guys do for Rottweilers and other breeds. I really appreciate the love and caring shown to our four-legged family.

I could not begin to tell you how happy we are with our new family member, Ruger. He is sweet, gentle and the most loving dog. He fits right into our family. We made great friends with the owner who is a loving sweet person. I will never have any other kind of dog other than a Rottweiler. They are the best dogs! I feel safe when my husband is out of town. He is also a loyal companion who loves kids. We lost our Rott and my family was devastated. It is like losing a family member. Now we are happy again with a happy house. Our family is complete. My 10 year old grandson we are raising loves him the most. He runs from class everyday and can't wait to see him. Thank you for your help, Rescue Me!

I would like to also thank the wonderful lady that found her, and helped her get back to health and kind enough to post her on Rescue Me for us to adopt. Without her, my wonderful Baby may not have made it out of the horrible situation she was in.

We are so thankful that Rambo got adopted by a very nice married couple. We all feel more relieved due to the fact we know they can take better care of him than what we can do. We all weren't too happy about it, but we knew it was the right thing to do. My family and i are thankful for Rescue Me because if it wasn't for this he wouldn't be getting the care and attention he needs right now. We love and miss him, but we did what was right. We know he will be okay, and he will be very happy. We love you Rambo, and always will.

We are pleased to say that Bear was re-homed after 18 months with a fabulous couple who have a Boxer too. They have contacted me a couple times since confirmed that he is very happy and very settled already. We are all very happy here at D4D. His brother Tytan was re-homed 12 weeks before Bear, and is happy too. Great news for both, but especially Bear as he really needed very confident people who now have him a forever home.

Tobias was an owner surrender from the animal shelter. Upon our arrival at the vet and through a series of testing, we found he was heart worm positive, Lymes disease positive, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever positive. He also has extreme hip dysplasia, was malnourished from fleas and ticks, and severely abused. Since then, a foster stepped in and saw to it that the vet's bills were paid after a huge donation. Two weeks later at a recheck at the vet, we found Tobias had gone from 77 pounds to 88 pounds. The vet discussed a blood transfusion and possibly having to euthanize Tobias. But, one month to the day, a blood test showed that four weeks of love and care provided by the foster home we found through Rescue Me had turned things around for Tobias. He was in the best home of his life. The foster is now a forever home! Tobias has now been neutered, and next week we begin heart worm treatment, and will get his shots. With the help of Rescue Me, Tobias finally has a place to call home! Thanks, Rescue Me!

The second family I talked to loved Bubba right away, and he was relaxed around them and their 'rescued' GSD. So it looks like another success story for your website. This is a website I had not seen before, as I sometimes rescue certain breeds then rehome them. Thank you for all your help, Linda

This is Bentley. He has the markings of a Rottweiler, the heart of a Rottweiler but in no way has any Rottweiler in him other than matching color and markings. He came from a young couple struggling with their newborn and ready to move with the military. This puppy was frightened, he didn't want to part from his owner. He was very shy, but once out in the yard, he and my two other Rotts (a two year old and seven year old) they began to chase one another. Bentley thinks he's a Rott has a very sweet disposition and holds his own with the other two dogs. Bentley is my third rescue from Rescue Me, and I always refer anyone looking for a new family member to this site.

I found a home for Karl within one week of posting on Rescue Me. I had many people interested. Within a few days, I got an email from a family in Montana. They had lost their Rottie and their five year old little girl really missed him. It was a perfect fit. Karl had grown up with my daughter and she is now five. We both have a cat. It gives me great comfort to know that he is going to a family that has the exact same dynamics as ours. The fact that the family drove 12 hours to pick him up really showed their interest and commitment to adding Karl to their home.

We lost our Rottweiler, Tango earlier this year. We felt so lost without him and started looking for another Rottweiler that looked like Tango because we felt if he looked similar to Tango than he would have similar characteristics also. About a week later, we saw Jake on Rescue Me. He looked like our Tango and so we drove four hours to rescue him from a shelter that he had been at for three years. He had been kenneled for three years with no freedom. Even though he was there for three years, he didn't know his name, so we thought he looked like a Jake, and so now we call him Jake. He is experiencing all kinds of new things, like getting walks daily, going swimming in the lakes, running around catching the football in our yard, playing with the kids. He is filling the void we had with losing our dear Tango, and we are glad we found him on Rescue Me.

Well, I must say that my long-time friend and brother, who is now in heaven, must be happy that so many individuals such as himself have the love and time to offer the puppies I posted on Rescue Me for adoption. I was inundated with calls from all over the state. I have just one dog left (momma) and hopefully someone will be her next loving companion. I was there for the birthing of the puppies, and held each so many times. It hurts to know they're gone, but glad they are being loved by those that can devote the required time to make them great. Thanks to all who called and special thanks to Jeff Gold for the formation of this site, and his love of Rotties and all the other breeds that offer mankind the ability to know what unconditional love, devotion and companionship a well treated dog can bring.

Rescue Me was a lifesaver for me. My dog Bubba has found a new forever home with help from your website. I never thought I would have found myself in the position to have to give up my dog, I was devasted. The one thing I did know was I wanted to make sure I found him the best possible home and give him the things I no longer could. Your website allowed me that opportunity. I loved that people searching for dogs could search by breed, as my dog is very large and most people thought he was intimidating when in reality he just wants to be a big lap dog. The family that adopted him was the perfect fit. They had Rottweilers in the past and knew what to expect. We corresponded via email several times and then met in person at a local park so I could see how Bubba interacted with them. By the end of the meeting, Bubba was giving David kisses on the cheek and that's when I knew it was going to be okay. Because this family knew my story, they understood how difficult this has been for me and have emailed me frequently since his adoption to let me know he is doing well and making himself at home. Thank you Jeff for creating such a wonderful website. In the future when I am ready, I will be sure to use your website to make my new home a forever home for a new dog in need. Sincerely, Amy

I cannot believe what has happened. After two hours of posting this poor baby to your site, he has been adopted. You have provided such a wonderful service and I am so grateful. The people who have taken him are a foundation called Katy's Promise that finds homes for Rotts. They are going to evaluate him on his social skills and take him to the vet to make sure he is up on all his shots. They also screen out families to make sure they are good homes and serious about having a family member and not a fighting dog. These ladies already have a family who has met all their criteria and have adopted another dog through these ladies. This family has expressed a desire to have another one and have already been contacted about this guy. My heart soars over him going to the right kind of home. He deserves one! Thank you, Lord, for these ladies!

I was contacted pretty quickly after posting on Rescue Me. A gentleman with 5 acres of fenced property in the country who had lost his Rottie to old age (14 years) was interested. We met him and Hoss was on his way to his new home. I miss him, but felt it was a really good home for him. He is going to get another dog to keep Hoss company.

Thank you so much for keeping Rescue Me active. I post purebred and difficult to place shelter dogs on your site and have received much success. The latest success story is Mo, a 7-year old Rottweiler who entered the shelter with heartworms, but was treated and is very healthy now. We had four leads for him from Rescue Me and one adopted him recently. It was a perfect, breed-experienced family! Thank you again for allowing us to post.

I posted a Rudy's picture and a brief description of her last Wednesday for my father-in-law who is currently battling lung cancer. Due to his current health and financial situation, he could no longer afford to keep all three of his Rottweilers. Unfortunately, Rudy was the one that he had to find a new home for because she had a history of aggression with other female Rottweilers, including his other female named Annie and our Rottweiler named Daytona (we actually live right next door to my father-in-law). It felt like we constantly had to play 'musical dogs' as I called it when one of them was outside the other ones had to be inside and we were always in this constant state of alert to make sure that none of them got into a fight with each other. However, Rudy has been always perfectly fine around my father-in-law's male Rottweiler named JJ. So when I posted her picture on Rescue Me with a brief description of her, I was completely honest that she had a history of aggression and that she couldn't be in a home with other female dogs, and preferably no small dogs or really small children just to be on the safe side. I wasn't sure if anyone would even be interested in taking on a dog like Rudy with a history of aggression like this and also considering the fact that she was already somewhere between four to five years old and she might already be pretty set in her ways and it might be hard for anyone to try to correct this behavior since she was no longer a puppy. Well, luckily, someone contacted me this past Friday (within two days of my post on this website) and they said if we still had her then they could come get her the very next day and now the rest is history!!! Rudy went to a new home about an hour and a half away and she now lives out in the country on several acres of land so she has plenty of room to run around and play!!! She has a new human sister who is 10 years old and I hear that they are already pretty attached to each other and they do also happen to have one other dog which is a male Jack Russell Terrier. I told them to just introduce them slowly to one another and just be cautious whenever they are playing with each other since he is much smaller than she is, but I think overall they should be fine with each other at least since he is a male dog. Also, her new owner said she absolutely loves riding around all the time in his truck with him!!! I'm so happy that Rudy was able to find her new FUREVER home and I'm so thankful that a website like Rescue Me even exists to help make all of this even possible!!!

We adopted a wonderful boy named Stosh! We had two Rottweilers over the last eight years and one of our beloved girls passed away. I'm not sure who was more distraught, me or her sister. After much searching, I came across this wonderful website. Stosh was posted by his owners, who had owned him since he was a puppy. They needed to rehome him because of condo living. After many emails back and forth, we decided that our families were a good fit. They drove him three hours to us! He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He has almost three acres to run and an elderly big sister to keep him in line and show him the ropes!! He is already bonded with our sons and follows them everywhere! Rescue Me is a great website and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an awesome pet!

I posted Ripley and instantly had numerous interested parties. We took her to meet a family that already had a five year old male purebred Rottweiler. They got along great. We went back a week later just to see how everything went a second time and it was just as successful if not better than the first visit. We left Ripley with her new family that day! I have gotten texts and pictures over the past month showing how happy she is and how well she is adjusting. Thank you so much for the opportunity to use Rescue Me to find her a new home with a family that has the free time to give her the attention she deserves!

It was hard to come to terms with, but after rescuing princess, I had to consider re-homing her, because she was going to need a lot more than I could provide. Luckily, I found Rottweiler Rescue Me, and she is probably in the place that was meant for her. She has new dog friends, a big yard to play in, and a super loving owner who has experience with the breed and has the much needed time to spend training her properly. Thanks, Rottweiler Rescue Me and Nona. -Rob

Ace was adopted by a young family with five children. They met him at Petsmart where everyone there stopped to pet Ace and rub his belly which he showed to everyone! Everyone in the family loved him and vice versa. When they got him home (after a four hour drive) Ace acted like he lived with them his whole life and ran from room to room as if saying, 'I'm Home!!!!' Ace will benefit from all the activity. YEA!!! Happy ending for this boy and a big thanks goes to Rescue Me!!!!

I wanted to be careful and particular in whom he was placed with, especially after coming into contact with unreliable people on a different website. Luckily, within just a few days, I had received quite a few e-mails from interested, genuine families! Thankfully, he has found a wonderful furever home that absolutely adores him! I'm so overwhelmed with happiness that Casper and I were given this opportunity. Thank you!

Greetings to all animal lovers! I recently adopted a Rottie name Chef. He has brought so much joy into our lives. My Rottie, Nikki, and I wanted for quite some time now to adopt another family member. But time schedules seem to get in the way, but while viewing the Rescue Me site, I saw Chef and I immediately knew he was the missing link to our life. She is so happy. I watch them sleep in each others arms as though they were always in each others lives. Thank you for the opportunity to add a great new family member to our lives.

Rescue Me rescued more than just Rosie the Rottweiler. We did not want Rosie to leave us, but knew that with the dramatic shift our lives had taken we were no longer providing the attention she needed. We attempted to look for a forever home for her previously, but there weren't any good fits and we were having a very difficult time with the idea of giving her up for adoption. We tried Rescue Me and the right family did arrive - a strong and lovely family with an energetic 10 year old boy. Even the Grannies showed up to meet Rosie; and although we still grieve her departure, we are consoled by the fact she is indeed in a better place surrounded by an extended, loving family and a boy to whom she will be loyally attached. Thank you!

We were moving to a senior complex that did not allow large dogs. Gretchen is a gorgeous family Rottweiler who our kids and our grandkids love her. We were devastated. We asked through family, friends, tried Facebook, posted at work and were getting nowhere. We posted on Rescue Me on Wednesday and got two very interested responses by Thursday. By Saturday we drove to meet her possible new owner who also had a Border Collie. Upon meeting, the two dogs got along beautifully and the owner explained how she used to have a Rottweiler and how she loved the breed. Unfortunately, her 'Rottie' died and her Border Collie, Maggie, was missing a playmate. Well, after an hour and a half of romping and playing together the two, new friends hopped in the car together. After several tears shed and a fond farewell, our sweet girl was off to a new life. That same evening I mentioned several times I wondered how Gretchen was doing. Just before we turned off the lights, my husband checked email and there was a kind note from Gretchen's new mom about how she was doing. She very thoughtfully sent four pictures of Gretchen and Maggie together in her home. She again told us to feel free to come up and visit anytime. For us, this was a wonderful conclusion because we know Gretchen is being loved by a generous family and although we miss her we are happy for her new life.

I place our Rottweiler on the Rescue Me site. I received several inquires from people within 75 miles of our home, to as far away as the State of New York. To be honest, most of the people who inquired did not follow up when I responded. I realized when I spoke with some of the people about my Rottweiler, VooDoo, in detail, that they would not meet Voo Doo's needs. One was leaving on a two-week trip and would call back when she returned to see if VooDoo was still available, as she was seriously interested, but understood if he was taken in the meantime. I also had another, who was still possibly considering VooDoo. However, last week, just what I was looking for happened! A couple who live close by came to see VooDoo; and the couple and VooDoo were mutually receptive to one another. These people were the perfect couple. I could see they were going to spoil VooDoo, love him, care for him, spend a lot of time with him, had 7 acres of land for him to roam and investigate, he would live indoors with them (not on a chain or in a kennel outside), and, as an added bonus, there was a female pit bull that he was very excited to see when he met her at his new home today! I am very grateful for your Rescue Me site, as I had tried 'word of mouth' and posting his picture at the vet's office, which brought only two responses in two months, both of which the people said they wanted VooDoo, and then never showed up to get him. I refused to put him on Craig's List or other listings as such, as I didn't want to chance VooDoo getting into the 'wrong hands'. A friend had recommended your site, and I am so glad that I posted VooDoo on it. Instead of being in knots and crying myself to sleep tonight, I am sad, but at the same time, I feel I have found him a good home with good people and people that are going to love him as much as my brother (whose dog it was to begin with before he died unexpectedly in 2013) and I. They have already offered for me to visit any time I want, that if when they went away, I could have him while they were gone, and if he passed away, they would give me his ashes. (I have my brother's ashes; and I had left room in his urn, so when VooDoo died, I could place VooDoo's ashes in with my brother's and they would be buried together in the family plot.) So, I think I found the right people! He needed a bath when we took him and apologized. Within 2 hours, they had him in their bathtub (!) plus, he's all set up to sleep in their master bedroom tonight! I haven't really lost my sweet dog, I've made new friends!

Rocko was rescued by my deceased husband two years ago. He was so emancipated that he almost died. There is not a mean bone in his body, but he was tied out his whole life. Just because he was a Rottweiler, he was not trusted. He now weighs around 175 pounds. Before my husband passed away, he asked me to find Rocko a home with a fenced yard. He wanted him to be loved and cared for. A woman who always loved Rocko's breed saw him and fell in love with him. I let this family adopt Rocko. Thank you so much, Rescue Me, for your compassion and care you have for dogs. I highly recommend you. God Bless.

OH MY! Our whole family (grown children and grandchildren and all that come with them!) have embraced the joy of adding Dolche into the mix! She has welcomed everyone (even the cat!) into her heart! She absolutely LOVES her new backyard, although it took her a day to realize it was all hers! The family has gotten used to locking the gate behind them to go to the person's yard too! Her training has been integral in transitioning her into her new home. Thanks C for caring for her so well!! She has lots of friends to play with as two of the grown kids with kids have dogs! We are so fortunate to have found her thanks to Rescue Me's notification program! We have rescued a Rottie before and she brought us great happiness in the 11 years she was with us! So glad we have the opportunity again to share our family and love with another sweet one. And the name fits!!! Dolche!! Our sweet baby!! We will nurture, care, and love her always!!
