Rottweiler    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Muneco - he is 18 months old and is a beautiful boy. He had very little socialization so will require an experienced owner. He loves kids and is good with his brother but we would have to test him with any other dog. He has not been around cats. He is a beautiful boy but would prefer a home with a woman in charge as he responds much better to women.

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-04-00079Feo (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only.  Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. I am with Patriots for Pets Rescue and Shelter Inc. in Clear Lake, Iowa. This afternoon we got a call to help with a little bit of an unusual situation. The City of Corwith (Iowa) demanded that these two beauties be removed from the City within 5 days due to the fact that one of them jumped the fence and tore the leg of the pant off of the neighbor. OK - not cool to do - but still - five days isn't much time to get these guys placed. The dog did not bite the individual so does not have a bite history. We agreed to help if we could After meeting them several of our board members have decided the best thing to do is to contact the Rescue ... (Read More)organizations and see if they can help with these two boys. We are an all breed rescue with limited resources for dogs this size which were not socialized properly. They are about a year and a half old, they are brothers, and unfortunately they have had little to no socialization. They are good with their own family, including kids, but the larger of the two boys is not real friendly with strangers. We have so many people that adopt who have children and we just aren't comfortable with their current lack of socialization to try and adopt them. We think breed rescue is what is best for them. We have brought their shots current but they will both require neutering. This is one of the boys - he is the smaller of the two and he is the more submissive of the two boys. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-03-24-00028Mitch (male)

Rottweiler Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Malnourished

NEGLECT SHOULD BE A SERIOUS CRIME IN IOWA This is Mitch and to say he was close to dying due to starvation would be an understatement. You can count every rib, you can feel every vertebrae and yet all he wants to do is play with you, cuddle with you and give you kisses. Right now those things are a close second to eating - he will eat anything he can get in his mouth that is edible. He has stolen the heart of everyone in the building with his incredible spirit. It is absolutely incredible that he doesn't hate the human race. We were told he is a Rottweiler mix. He is just over a year old. It is estimated that right now he is about ... (Read More)40 pounds underweight based upon his height and weight right now. No one can look at these pictures and not see neglect - if you see a well cared for animal you are probably watching the wrong page. If you can justify that anyone can do this to an animal you are really on the wrong page. There is never any excuse to let an animal get into this condition. We can assure you that we will work very hard to get weight on this young man in a healthy fashion and we will do our best to keep his loving spirit up while we are doing so. Anyone coming into the building will be able to share treats with this guy as there is a bucket of special high calorie treats just for him hanging on his kennel. He may be down but Mitch is certainly not out - he is one of the most loveable kids we have here with us - we can guarantee lots of puppy kisses if you come to visit. (Less)
