Athos is one of our three musketeers and with whom we have shared so many happy times and laughs, He is the clown of the family, always ready to play and put a smile on our faces. He is the most loveable dog, well trained and even though his energy level is high he will calmly wait until it is playtime. He loves to go on hikes, play with balls and swim in the pool or dam. The reason why we can not keep Athos anymore is that he does not go along well with other dogs and He and our older male Rottweiler have been fighting. Athos has not shown any tendency at all to be aggressive towards humans and he is used to meeting new guests in our home. ... (Read More)If Athos can find a home without any other pets/animals and with no small children he will be the perfect dog. He has to be part of the family in all activities and never left alone outside at night. We would like to start with a foster family and everything goes well we are willing to let the family adopt hem. We will take all the expenses including food, veterinary/medicine costs, etc. Our three Rottweilers are named after the three musketeers because of their logo 'All for one, one for all'. Even if Athos can not live with us anymore we still want to be there for him. (Less)

Rottweiler Dogs can make good pets in South Africa if they match your IifestyIe. The Rottweiler is a large breed herding and guard dog. Rottweilers are very stable and brave. This breed needs a firm, experienced handler from the very beginning. Rottweilers can be good family pets that are trustworthy with children and other pets if they are trained and socialized from an early age. If a Rottweiler is not treated properly it can become aggressive. Rottweilers need plenty of exercise and can run in open country without a leash. Rottweilers can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard if they get enough exercise.
